    one trick for panel lining all the armor bits is to mix a shade with contrast medium. Im not sure why but when you mix a shade like agrax or nuln oil with the contrast medium I swear it only sticks to the small cracks and panel lines. Its like using an enamel panel liner but with standard GW paints instead haha. (an enamel panel liner is also a great way of doing the lines of course, since if you spill you can always just wipe it away with some enamel thinner that wont hurt the acrylic below.)

    Thanks for yet another great video! A technical question if I may: when working with Contrasts, do you mix and thin them on a wet palette or do you use dry palette? If the latter is true, how do you prevent them from getting increasingly thicker due to gradually drying out?

    • @JuanHidalgoMiniatures
      @JuanHidalgoMiniatures  Před 3 lety +2

      I've done both, for the dry palette I just use the ammout I need, simple as that and add more as I go through it.
      I know use them over the wet palette without issue as I never go back to them after they have sit down on it for a while, which can cause issues

I used to buy from phisical stores when I lived in Barcelona, but I recently moved to a small town and I have to buy from online stores. Arte Miranda is great for art supplies, but for miniature related stuff I only know Goblintrader and, while they have a vast array of brands, I found them really unreliable and both times I ordered it took them more than a month to ship the goods even though everything I ordered was from local brands like Vallejo, Scale75, Big Child Creatives, AK Interactive, etc. (although during these crazy covid times maybe it wasn't their fault). @@JuanHidalgoMiniatures wow brilliant. Will get the new brushes soon, glad to see the link and the red grass clippers. I think if memory correct first video I saw was on how painted white, using ink on one of your sculptures. You’ve done very well with this channel and helped me immensely with the hobby. Thanks again. Gracias Juan mi amigo.

      Sorry, too easy to pass. I've been on the internet for long enough to find that amusing still.
      I get that question at least twice a video and the truth is I don't know. It's from the CZcams audio library and I downloaded it three years ago or so and changed the name to "background"
      From time to time someone finds the name and I forget it almost immediately. Sorry

    The voiceover on this video feels too sped up, makes it hard to take in what's being said
