" Maa naqd e aafiat ba mai" is also an Ustad Sarahang song, he composed this song live in a Mehfil, where many politicians and "Bedil-Shenasaw" were present. " Aie rukhat shosta deedar" is also Ustad Sarahang's, which is based in Raga: Bhimpalasi. i know for sure that Ustad Sarahang only sang one Khyal song, and it was in Yaman Kalyan. i will find the name!!!
on that cd, "Alam Az Chashme Tar,"Janaa tu Khalbe Mayee" and "Ze Sawdae Chashm" are Ustad Hashim compositions. "Labha e Sardam" which is sang by Hangama and Najim, is an Ustad Naynawaz composition. the others i cant think of, off the top of my head...

The tabla sangat here is perfectly complementary. I don't know why people are complaining. I hate tabla players that try to take over the show but you usually end up making ruining the mood of the music.

It has 5 notes which are, *Sa Re GA(black) Pa Dha Sa* NOTE: please leave comments, but have some sort of proof/explanation behind them. People listen to kids and even popular afghan singers, that wouldn't even make a chance past the try-out rounds in AMERICAN IDOL, and no one says anything to them. Ustad Hashim's version is different, i will try to find it and post it. "maa naqd e aafiat" is for sure Ustad Sarahang's. i have to listen to that ketab e khaterat CD again, and check it outt.
This composition seems to be based on Ustad Sarahang's conception of Shivranjani, i.e. one with the komal nishad. Najim sings a lot of mishra phrases but the base is Shivr. with the komal nishad.

no my friend Dunyast Khoob-o-Duniya was not Ustad Khyal's, it was Ustad Sarahang's. he sang composition of Khyal, it was in Yaman Kalyan, i dont know the name though. this is not Ustad Hashim's, only Ustad Sarahang.

Its possible that Salar playing like U.Tari Khan but Salar is 25-30 jears old and U.Tari is 50-60. Salar is left hand player and U.Tari is right hand player... and aND AND I´m sorry if i was writing too much but i dont like this dicussions with: "he is the Afg Tari Khan"

no brother, this is 100% USTAD SARAHANG's composition! i will find the poet and post it, as well as the lyrics. every singer has their own distinct style, thats probably what your talking about. singers nowadays should sing the way they feel, and not the way ustad's/maestros were singing it 20-30 years ago. copying a legend/maestro like Ustad Sarahang is also a sin, so its better if it doesn't happen. its better to be your own person!
No but when the tabla player starts doing a solo in the interludes that goes for 20 avartans instead of 3 or 4 avartans, and the bols are ugly and aggresive, that ruins the mood. There are lots of tabla players who try to take over the show too much and ruin the music. I have heard even Tari Khan do this on occasion. Search for his solo's with Hariharan on youtube - he kills the mood with his jhaptal into dadra layakaari. It's a ghazal, that kind of shit doesn't work.
I'm in no way a tabla player. Also, i never said that i could play better tabla then him. However, I do have ears and listen to gazal music on a regular bases. My wording in my post was a bit flawed. What i meant was that he just needs to slow it down a bit. Salar is an excellent tabla player, but he plays way to aggressively during the solo, which takes away from the song. This is a gazal for gods sakes, and there's no reason to play that aggressive.
