God I love vice city!!!!!!! I was master in this game I owned the whole city having a daily morning trip with my chopper... the best GTA game,
What was special, is when you help police men in catching criminals; good citizen bonus which was stopped in other GTAs
My fave, Vice City was so fun, beat it multiple times! Still is, crazy I grew up playing it on PS2 and now I play it on my iPod XD

All signs point to Vice City being the setting for GTA6. Here's how I know; There are 3 major locations where GTA games in the 3D/HD world have taken place. They are Liberty City (NYC IRL), Vice City (Miami IRL) and San Andreas (LA area IRL). So far, Liberty City and San Andreas have been in TWO games, Liberty City being in GTA3 and GTA4 and San Andreas being in GTASA and GTA5. Vice City has been featured only once, in GTAVC. It looks like we may (and honestly should) be getting a Vice City setting for GTA6. And I honestly hope we do get it.
San Andreas is a state based on California. GTA V only features the southern portion of SA, not the whole state. LA is Los Santos (I'm sure you k so this) & GTA 4 had 2 cities, Liberty City & Alderney City. You are forgetting San Fierro & Las Venturas, 2 cities that still haven't been remade in the HD universe just like Vice City hasn't. So it may not be Vice City. I'd rather it be Las Venturas.

VRRentertainment That's bullshit. He said LA area which totally includes San Fierro and Las Venturas (and Sandy Shores {Salton Sea IRL}) and Aldernney City is totally New Jersey which is also NYC area. GTA 6 WILL be Vice City or a new area. There are rumors about Paris or Tokyo.

Also, GTAV was going for realism. It's a condensed LA and it's surrounding area. GTASA was not realistic. Los Angelus, Las Vegas and San Francisco, condensed and attached together in a strange way was GTASA's map.
Pretty much a single area or city has been in every GTA game, and also, GTA isn't a series that would work in other countries. GTA tries to make a satire out of America and it's cities. Since GTAs primary market is America, people can't relate to it as well and it wouldn't have nearly the same funny factor.
The next game will most likely be VC, but if it isn't it will be another major American city.
No, the "LA area" does not include San Fierro & Las Venturas (even if thats what he meant). Just because Los Santos, San Fierro & Las Venturas were together in all one game (GTA SA), it doesn't mean they are the same "area"
In the HD universe, it's quite likely that Las Venturas is not even in the state of San Andreas anymore. As SA is based on California & Las Venturas is based on Las Vegas, Las Vegas being in Nevada.
So if Las Venturas was to be the setting in a future GTA, it would likely have its own state based on Nevada, meaning a whole new map made from scratch based on the desert around Las Venturas. So like I said, we still have San Fierro, Las Venturas & Vice City to be remade in the HD universe. So it MAY be Vice City, but there is a 1/3 chance as Rockstar may decide to go with either SF or LV. Or maybe you never know, a completely new city. (Maybe something like Carcer City that's been referenced heavily in HD universe GTA games). And MintyFresh, I totally agree with you on how GTA should stay in America. It's all about the American Dream & culture and taking the piss out of it. Everything in the GTA universe is parodied, states & cities, vehicle names & manufacturers, companies & business, fast food, celebrities, Vinewood industry & much more. The only thing GTA & the real world have in common is that we speak the same languages lol, everything else is literally parodied.

This is an amazingly executed theme. It fits the game quite well, and I'll explain why. Somehow, it just sounds very _colorful._ We all remember how gray and gloomy GTA III was. (I'm not complaining, it was actually a nice touch, as it went along quite well with the sort of sad but beautiful theme song, and the storyline) However one of the most obvious differences between GTA III and GTA Vice City was that the latter was bursting with color. This is also quite appropriate when mixed with the vibe of "arriving in a new city full of opportunities just waiting for you to take it over". And in general there's more potential fun to be had, ie. planes that don't require glitches to be flown, helicopters, a larger variety of cars, missions, and side missions. All in all a good game, I'm currently working on 100% completion.

When i bought the ps2 during christmas in 2002, this was my first game. I was only 9 and it was to violent for me but hell i still played it. Brings back memories. Used to beat the game over and over and collect money from the companys.
