  • This video shows how I restored this pair of front seats from a Saab 93. The leather is heavily cracked and has scuffs from the seatbelt buckle, it is discoloured and dirty, There is also paint on the drivers seat and broken threat on one of the seams.

It depends on how cracked the leather is, If you can send some photos I can give you a price

Hi, lovely job.. just curious about the paint you use, is it just a normal water based acrylic please. or do you use a particular brand like Createx etc ..and is your clear coat the same as a acrylic resolene finish or more like a resin based finish please?
also, what is the lifespan of the products you use, will they crack and peel please. .sorry , so many questions, i'm a leathercrafter
but i use oil based dyes, not acrylics and only on natural veg tan not upholstery leather and seats.. the stitching is obviously not a problem but i'm a little worried about re attaching the leather,, is it obvious where you need to hog ring and do you recommend a straight or angled ringer please.. i only want to do my 07 Aero 2.0T, so only need tools etc for this particular project.. thank you..

Both colour and clear coat are water based and I buy from furniture clinic, If you do the correct prep it last almost as long as the original finish. You should buy an angled ringer it will make life easier

Can you link your hog ring tool? I ended up using zip ties and it wasn't ideal as you can feel the ends. Also, why not add heated seats since you have it open.

The owner did not ask for heaters in the seats

How much to replace the cover for each seat?
