Have you tried plugging probes from another manufacturer into this meter? I saw a review of the Victor VC97 which looks similar to this meter, and the reviewer had a problem with that.
Martin Heermance yes I did try the meter with some nice probe master probes. With the probe master probes the meter was much more responsive. The probe master probes are about $17 on probeMaster.com thanks for watching.
