Ive been planting everything in my garden and all of my indoor plants, into pure mushroom compost for the last few years.
I also have a bandicoot, named Eric, dig in my garden everyday. Thankfully he has never done any real damage. He just digs holes and pokes around mainly in my wood chip pathways. He never eats anything or disturbs my plants

I have a Bandicoot issue at the moment. Gets in all my garden beds, chicken poop (they don't like the ammonia) in my garden isn't putting it off.

Hi Weedy, first I thought I must be blind not to see the digging of the bandicoot. I live in Southeast Asia and don't see them around but SOMETHING loves digging up my Seedlings 😅 Still on it.

Zero bandicoot holes. I wish i could do the same with my squirrels. I've got fencing like you do around my garden beds to keep my cats out. It doesn't stop the squirrels though. I sprinkle dried chili flakes around and that helps keeps the squirrels from digging but i have to reapply every couple days.

Well I do have a bandicoot very busy around my beds, I have to put everything either raised or in wire cages as you have, zero holes noted in your episode.

This is Fun! In the first bed you approached , the 3 rows of lighter material, the mulch looked disturbed in the lower, right area - Additionally, to the left of the vertical grid support in the same bed looks disturbed in the lower portion beside the grid. The hardware cloth looks great! I use hardware cloth on the bottom of my beds, prior to filling with logs, soil, compost, biochar etc to keep out the moles & voles. Can't see any bandicoot holes, not like my old backyard in Manyana where it was covered in them. Thanks for your knowledge, it has helped me kick start my gardening and am just starting to see some results from biochar and inoculating my garden with lactobacillus

As always a beautiful video. The chicken wire looks to have done it’s job for you keeping those bandicoots at bay. I have found that the seed raising mix is lacking a lot of nutrients. A big fat 0 on the bandicoots for me.

I have been away for a while and only 3 videos back in and I have been enjoying them as much as always.
I did the Banana one, the Compost one before this one and obviously this one, Can I ask you how many holes was it? I thought I saw one in the 3rd bed?
The reason I ask is because I wanted to know if your netting is successful because we have quite a few here and they dig mostly in our yard, and I have a policy of trying to grow more so that the natives can tax some for their Families and we still all get to live and see each other, which for me adds to our experience in life.
I sweated on my sweet potato patch from the beginning, until we left one of our horses out for me to find her proudly standing in the middle of our patch having eaten everything overnight, she ate all the vine, and every single sweet potato there was. She was very proud.
She obviously needed them more than I did LOL. can you imagine a 16.5 hand ex race horse standing proudly in a raised garden bed smiling at you as your last bit of vine was slurped up like spaghetti? it was a sight.
