I had a 1972 volks wagon rabbit. I thought it was awesome because I was born I ‘72!!! I got for a $1.00 from my neighbor!!! It had no brakes and no heat and we lived in Massachusetts 😂so in the winter our hair was frozen by the time we got to school.
My first car was a 1957 blue Volkswagen Beetle bought in Columbus Mississippi. In 1964 My 24 year old husband repaired the motor in our yard in our trailer park that was on the way to the Airforce base. I was so thankful to not have to ride to work with people who drank beer while driving 😢😮. There was only one little hill with a stop light on my way to work at The American Bosch Corporation and I was terrified with a standard 😳 shift. But I survived to be 80😊.

My Samoyed dog was named D-O-G 😆 first her papered I had to put Desiree Olivia Grace. My 1 yr old daughter called first dog folks in church and daycare, family thought she was so smart to spell dog 😆 ❤❤❤
My first car was a two seater, convertible sports car that I got for my birthday, it was the color of a delicious green apple. I am not going to lie, I learned about working on cars and put in a starter, alternator, brakes, clutch rod, etc because this little Italian beauty was high maintenance! My friend that owned an auto electrical shop allowed me to drop my parts right in his lot so that he could change a solenoid and he got a real kick out of seeing a teenaged girl working in her car, he only charged a six pack of beer that I had to get my daddy to buy for me; my life was one long learning experience and I will always be grateful for it! I would really like to find a vintage 50’s Chevy or Ford Truck in a beautiful teal blue and white with white wall tires, I suspect that if the LORD wants me to have one, I will someday!❤
How cool. Good for you. I couldn't ever get mechanical things but learned plumbing and carpentry because my father was not physically well, he taught me while he sat in a chair nearby. I loved it.

We had a liver and white bird dog that learned how to climb a chain link fence by a little neighbor dog (less than 25 lbs). She climbed into our fence many days. Once our dog learned to climb the fence, then she would run and she was fast.
My German short haired /Dalmatian mix was my best dog and NO fence could keep her in. She would always be home when I got home though. My neighbors told me about so many of her escapades.
What memories! I also had a Chevy LUV truck and later an Isuzu pickup. Neither of them could even tow my EMPTY 2-horse trailer up the hill on the road I lived on. And when I got ready to sell the Isuzu, my dad sanded down the rust spots and spray-painted the entire truck! Thanks for your stories that prompt memories of my own! 🙂
We also had a Moose that showed at our house one day . He was a chocolate lab that was about 100 lbs and I put ads up on AOL, LOL back then and noone responded.well one day, after we mhad taken him in for 2 months my neighbor's son stopped by to see if his parents needed anything an said that looks like my neighbors dog that disappeared a few weeks ago, Long story short he was his dog and he said keep him cuz I can't take him away from your kids because they have obviously become attached and love him and his better off because I'm not home much and he needs to be with a family that is home and loves him. He needs a family not a man that's only home at night. Best dog we ever had !!

I live in Indiana, and we had about 4 inches of snow last week ,our road was party cleared, l went to the mailbox, slipped on the ice and BROKE MY HIP !! Can't believe it!! And it hurts.🦴🦴👨🦽👨🦽 I am a retired nurse, 45 years of nursing, and tonight I am IN the bed ,not beside the bed and had my first ambulance ride! 🏥🏥!🚑🚑 😢😢 KEEP us smiling. ❤❤

I only had to shovel twice this crazy winter but must have missed the snow you just got. Maybe you can buy a few plants- not seeds & have a 'container' garden. I’m in Texas and have been babying a tiny patch of our state flower, the bluebonnet. They self-sow and sprout in the fall, then the foliage grows slow all winter for early spring blooms. Well …. I have the beginnings of a tiny bud - the first one - on my bluebonnets. I am SO EXCITED!

My dad was working on it 😊 I learned how to start it by touching 2 wires, no key 😂,. Then, I learned how to push, start it, jump in, and pop the clutch... oh, my the memories. 😂
OMG! You reminded me of growing up in a small town in Mississippi way back when! Talking about no air conditioning in a vehicle, we left on a camping trip in the summer, heading to Colorado, driving across Texas and getting beat to death with the windows down all the way across Texas, through New Mexico and into Colorado. At one point someone had told Mama that you could create cool air for the car by putting a block of ice in a container on the floor under the fan in the front. We all just about died because Mama kept saying she thought it was working, probably because her legs were 3" away from the ice. That was also the year we got snowed on in the mountains in July. Sorry for rambling on. Love your channel and appreciate your attitude.
Brooke, my dad had an old wrecker that had an ooga horn on it. He'd pull up and start blowing the horn so everybody could watch me. I wanted the ground to swallow me. Lol. I sure wish he could pull up blowing his ooga horn again.
In Australia when i was young, i only knew one person with an automatic car. Most people had a nanual. Carollas were great cars. My brother-in-law had one for years.
My first car was a Canary Yellow Honda Coup. 1972. 10 inch tires. 4 Speed. I had many pranks pulled on me. Yes people would move it around. Then hide and watch me look for it. Get friends they said it will be fun. Lol. Paid 425.00. Got 42 miles per gallon. Loved that car.
Our lab would never touch candy in a candy fish but our chihuahua would get it down for her. And she could unwrap foil wrapped kisses. We often found foil in the floor when we got home.
In 1976 my 1st car was a '64 Chevy Nova II, 3 speed on the column. My Dad would get in and push the clutch clear to the floor and jam the gears up every time. My legs wasn't long enough to push the clutch all the way in and I never jammed the gears. LOL He would get so mad.
I bought my first car from my parents. A wonderful blue 1964 Chevy Biscayne station wagon. I had that car for many years and racked up 500,000 miles on road trips and daily life stuff. No AC back then. Bumper stickers not real common in the 1970s but I had one "EAT MORE POSSUM" 😄

My chocolate lab, Ahyoka, tells me when my blood pressure is out of whack. She's always right too.
It was twenty years after I lost my first chocolate lab before I could handle getting another one. Still miss my Cocoa but love Ahyoka!

Today it’s a comfortable 80 here, the first in a long time, here in Mesa, Arizona.
I’m in Maryland. I think it’s been a really mild winter. In fact this last week been the coldest it’s been all winter.

Our first dog, in my first marriage, was a beagle she x was an escape artist and would just disappear. Theye terrible wanderers.

My first car was a Canary Yellow Honda Coup. 1972. 10 inch tires. 4 Speed. I had many pranks pulled on me. Yes people would move it around. Then hide and watch me look for it. Get friends they said it will be fun. Lol. Paid 425.00. Got 42 miles per gallon. Loved that car.

Our lab would never touch candy in a candy fish but our chihuahua would get it down for her. And she could unwrap foil wrapped kisses. We often found foil in the floor when we got home.

In 1976 my 1st car was a '64 Chevy Nova II, 3 speed on the column. My Dad would get in and push the clutch clear to the floor and jam the gears up every time. My legs wasn't long enough to push the clutch all the way in and I never jammed the gears. LOL He would get so mad.
Almond blossoms are prolific here in central CA.

I bought my first car from my parents. A wonderful blue 1964 Chevy Biscayne station wagon. I had that car for many years and racked up 500,000 miles on road trips and daily life stuff. No AC back then. Bumper stickers not real common in the 1970s but I had one "EAT MORE POSSUM" 😄
