    I bought one for my wife, we are enjoying it but using a fair bit of beans trying out various grind sizes, so far we have the inner burr on 4 and outside setting in 6 for the last bag of beans we bought, anything higher and we dont get that 20-30 second extraction, but at the same time the pre infusion step on that guage seems to just skip and go right to the mid way on the guage. And I dont like strong coffee so I have a large stainless steel mug for the milk and use maybe 2x more milk then most would and just have it in a larger mug/cup. My old method of coffee was instant coffe, and an induction milk frother, heats and using a small paddle to spin and airate the milk, I used to just put the coffee and sugar in and press the start button and a minutle later a ready to drink coffee, not as fun as using this machine.

      Indeed we had to play around a bunch with beans and just kept the “mistakes” as ground coffee for the regular drip, Kuerig, or pour over LOL. Finally have it where we want

    Just got mine the other day and the problem I have is even though pressure is good it goes right past the pre infusion but only extracts about half an ounce for a double shot, do I need to adjust the grinder inside?

    • @BarberDave
      @BarberDave  Před rokem +4

      I had to play with mine for about a week. Different grind setting and burr settings. Find your preferred coffee and buy extra as you will be experimenting a lot. You will also fine tune and tweak over time and of course if you change coffees. You can also adjust the pulled shot amount. And duration. That is located in the manual. I had to do that too. The pre infusion does not last long at all. But I have been pulling between 7-9 bar shots. To me 9 bar is a bit to high so my sweet spot for this coffee is 8. Also for my particular roaster locally, which I rarely switch from my settings are now. Grind: 15 / burr 6./ 26 second shot time. Hope that helps

      For the specific coffee I’m using right now I have the burner on nine and I keep the grind on between 14 and 16 and I pull really good shots based on that

      does breville impress can save 2 automatic filter size?(single and double) or it will only save 1. thank you, just bought yeterday, and i already consume 250grams of beans for testing trial and error, for the default, it seems the 1 cup and 2 cup is also the same amount of extraction.

    • @BarberDave
      @BarberDave  Před 10 měsíci

      @@mdel.e9234 yes once you get it dialed in it will remember the last settings used from the filter sizes also if you look in the Manual you can adjust the Extra time and amount, and it will save that setting. I cannot remember what page it is on, however complete instructions are there. Thanks

      @konstantinosgavriilidis5440 Před rokem +3

      The goal is not to hit the 9 bars. It all depends on the beans, the grind and your taste. I personally prefer the coffee I make when I extract it in the ranges of 6-7 bars

    Why doesn't everyone who presents this machine measure the extraction time to adjust the grinder? This is the minimum for a successful espresso. And why does he not check the amount of liquid obtained?
    Then I would like to know if, once the settings have been made, the reproducibility is good; that is to say constant (for a type of coffee) in terms of extraction time and volume of liquid.

    • @BarberDave
      @BarberDave  Před rokem +2

      Well, for one it was the very 1st I was using it. Two I did measure extraction time and pressure once I was familiar Third I do measure the liquid time which is exactly two oz. Perfect for a double shot of espresso. Again I had just purchased. Most importantly it does not really matter for this video as it was not about operational results. Of which I made another video. But since you are interested
      Extraction time 28 seconds
      Bar: 7
      Liquid 2oz(on double shot setting)
      Burr is 7
      Grinder is 16
      (This is for my specific type of coffee and toast and changes if I change coffee)
      It produces the perfect shot for my and my families tastes. Thanks for watching

    • @BarberDave

      @@stives466 yes each and everytime. It took awhile to dial it all in but once done we have not changed it, again only if we change coffees, and in that case it is just a grind number change and nothing more
