    I had a 2100BR with an 225 optimax, she would top out at 80mph! That thing ran like a sewing machine, quiet and smooth!

    Beautiful boat, man. I just mounted a 2001 300X onto a 1989 20 foot Arriva "Ski." Mine weight about 1000 pounds more than yours. I have no idea what to expect. I had a 1991 Yamaha 225 on it, which I thought would get me 60 mph. Sadly, it only does 51. So... the 300X is my solution, hoping for 70+. I'm at 6400' elevation. What is you elevation here? Thanks!

      Sounds about right, not the best setup for this boat. What prop?

      Wave to Wave I believe I was running a 23P tempest with medium vents. Sold the boat about 6 years ago, loved it. Wish I still had it. I had white gel coat with teal and purple accents. Red looks good.

    You said something about the transom being replaced. Is that something that happened to all 1997 Pulsare 2100. I am thinking of buying one and don't want to buy a new transom right away.

    • @WavetoWaveBoats
      @WavetoWaveBoats  Před 4 lety +2

      It can happen to any boat with a wood transom, all wood will eventually rot if exposed to moisture. Inspect carefully it might be okay. It is repairable, not the end of the world.

      @@WavetoWaveBoats Lovely boat! Amazing that it's family kept since new. Never sell it. Who repaired the transom and how much did it cost to fix if you don't mind me asking.

    If you had too change this engine on this boat what is your choice for a brand New motor?

    • @WavetoWaveBoats
      @WavetoWaveBoats  Před 4 lety +1

      Good question. If the budget was big and you wanted to fly, the 300R, or the 250R. An Evinrude G2 250HO is a great choice too. For good bang for the buck, the Merc V6 225 would be interesting to try.

    • @WavetoWaveBoats
      @WavetoWaveBoats  Před 2 lety +1

      It really depends on the year and overall condition. Engine etc. This one is older but in really good shape. They still make this boat, so obviously there is a large range.
