Flying Press is so good - it has the highest DPE of moves 50 energy or less that have no drawback.
Flying Press has 2.25 DPE (for comparison: Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon have 2.22, 2.2, and 2 DPE respectively)

STAB Techno Blast is 144 DMG for 55 energy, which is 2.61 DPE. I've been trying to get a Flying Press Smeargle but after crunching these numbers, I'm considering my normal type Techno Blast Smeargle instead.
Smeargle and Bronzor are usually banned from little cups for a reason. Of all the formats they could have chosen to let them off the chain, the catch cup was without a doubt the worst one.
