I’m from the United States of America. I have a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. It is a little bit different in styling. The grilled, fog lights, and the center console is different. Oh, I forgot one more thing that is different is the tail pipes are a little bit different. I only have my Escape a little bit over 6 months now.

Great review, very detailed and well presented. I agree with your comment Dan about LED lights, some of the manufacturers seem to install 85% of the vehicle with LED bulbs and then finish off with standard traditional bulb. I don’t quite understand the rational behind that, but cost must be a factor.

Totally agree.
Contrary to belief LED lights are not expensive to manufacture. Car manufacturers withhold some features to add at yearly model changes. BMW X1 is typical of fitting LED lighting to 85% of the car only to install full LED lighting for 2020 X1
1:02 Yes ! exactly what it looks like Porsche Cayenne and Macan, BUT with the a BIG difference, the definitely better hybrid technology, we are talking about the eCVT planetary transmission that has been used by Toyota for over 20 years!
Porsche (the German automotive industry, they slept the era of entering EVs and therefore they use normal gears transmissions and platforms for from its internal combustion versions for Hybrids and the putting the big battery in the trunk, the only one that has kept in the immoral prices :P

Nah. Personally prefer previous one with sharper shapes. ST version was/is perfect design wise. Don't like the rounded up edges especially front. It's just my take though. Still (in 2021) considering previous one due to design, not £££ limit

It is based on the new Focus and its grill and not the Porsche, that always left a lot to be desired with its front and nose.

I just bought a 2020 Escape Titanium awd in Texas, three things Ford screwed up, no ambient lighting for second row no second row usb ports illuminated, non folding power mirrors, seats are not vented in front. Other than that I love 💘 just little quirks, so dumb.

I've got a 2018 ST Line X , the old shape and i prefer the old one to this new one , its just a Ford Focus on Stilts , no thought has gone into it at all , Ford have already contacted me to test drive one and I've told them the same thing , old version looks like an SUV this one does nothing for me at all

Hi Dan, ask you can see I’m playing catch up on all your excellent reviews. In the next 6 months I need to start to think about changing car as my lease runs out in about 9 months.
I’m still debating between an MPV or a SUV and as you my recall I’m really impressed with the new Hyundai Tucson but I shouldn’t just sit back and think of that one brand / model - I need to study what else is available.
I’ve not considered the Kuga before but looking through your past recordings I happily came across this review (top marks as always on your work, excellent review).
After the last week or so of freezing roads I’m giving thought to 4x4 for the first time. Do you know if the Ford Kuga with 190bhp diesel auto 4x4 has 4 season tyres as standard? It’s not a deal breaker but would be nice. Especially as I intend to use it crossing Europe in the winter months (as well as summers of course) having the added traction of 4x4 would be most beneficial as would good tyres - I know Italian law states you need to change to winter tyres in October (i think) through to March (again, I think). From Cumbria in the U.K. to Puglia in Italy will be a nice drive crossing through your beautiful Switzerland.

Do not compare Porsche and Kuga. The secret of the first one is a combination of "streamlined" and "not streamlinded", the second one is
an aerodynamic pure, it is a "shark-form". And let the big grill be there - it is the "mouth" of the shark.

Where is this car built?
Also, the car is AWD not 4WD :) ... AWD is only for stability to prevent slipping and losing control. 4WD is for off road and ability to drive in terrains where a 2WD (and AWD) cars would get helplessly stuck.
