For anyone out there complaining that she “didn’t deserve a spot in finals and it should have been Fan Yilin”- shut it, your opinion doesn’t mean jack. THIS is how you perform a qualifier routine, not one with multiple mistakes and missed connections. She deserves respect and recognition for making it to finals, and those who feel otherwise are meaningless.
Eu até me emocionei quando ela conseguiu a final desse aparelho. Só quem acompanha sabe o tanto que ela treinou para poder estar entre os 10 melhores no Individual Geral e tbm pegar a final da Barra Assimétrica.
Essa é a realidade da maioria dos países q só têm uma atleta com a qual se podem qualificar para os jogos. Ver alguém fora dos grandes países, q têm dificuldades em ter apoios, é preciso mts sacrifícios. Não quero dizer q as ginastas de países q investem, tb n o façam, mas é diferente. A Jennifer é ginasta de nível mundial, mas por exemplo, tb gosto de ver uma ginasta do Egito, das Caraibas, ver a ginasta do meu país, pode n ter a dificuldade de aparelho das outras ginastas, mas vê-las fazer o seu melhor, é um orgulho mt grande.
I was surprised when I heard that Fan didn’t make the final but Jessica did. When I watched the videos, I was so happen for Jessica. She has been the whole gymnastics for VEN, and has done a great job in the qualification. Yeah, this is also the moment for me in Rio qualification. As a fan for Chinese team, I was sorry to see Fan get such a low score, but she made mistakes, it was a fair result.

I love that combination of skills in the middle of her routine, but this was very overscored and did NOT deserve to make finals. She lacks form on many of the moves (that Pak salto omg) and her catches are very heavy. They calculated her difficulty score incorrectly as well, this is just a 6.2 value routine but they gave her a 6.4 somehow.
Ah, the words of someone who has been to the Olympics as a judge and has decades of experience to go on. NOT. Her form was better than most, and DID deserve a spot in finals. The leg separation is difficult to see from the angle the judges have to sit at, but her handstands were strong and she got all her connections completed. That, in contrast to Fan Yilin who everyone seemed to feel should have made it with the debacle of a qualifying routine she had.
@@saragrant9749 As usual you don't know what you're talking about. Her difficulty score was factually calculated wrong and her form was absolutely NOT better than most other top elites. There are bent arms all over the place here and all of the releases have issues. Fan Yilin's routine was much harder and executed fine enough in comparison to this.

The angle the judges have does not show leg separation, and you have the worst angle possible to see her form on the pak. Let the people who actually understand how to judge gymnastics do it- unless you’re going to stop being a lazy mouthpiece and actually go learn to do it yourself.

You have the incorrect angle to judge- or justify- your false claims, and clearly know NOTHING about the system from that time. You obviously didn’t even WATCH Fan’s routine which had multiple missed connections and handstands, and did not even remotely earn a finals spot. Jessica hit all her connections and had only one low handstand of any significance. She EARNED her spot in finals. All you are is someone meaningless who is jealous of an individual who has achieved great things in life.
