I've bought many baskets at thrift stores for no more than $2.99. The fabric and cording for this project probably cost that much.
Not if you get it from a thrift store! There are also many discount fabric stores. And you could use parts of old sheets or other linens, probably.

А не пробовали посчитать стоимость изготовления, ткань, клей, шнур? И когда испачкается, только выбросить.
Пластиковые немного дороже,но их можно мыть, вот и посчитайте сделать десяток коробок или купить одну,а время потратить на отдых

Now they have this waterproof sticker wallpaper that they sell it per roll that is very cheap and I think using that is better. If it gets dirty just wipe it.
