Konosuba is actually a super light-hearted and hilarious comedy, it makes fun of a lot of tropes from isekai (transported/reincarnated in a different world) and fantasy series and it has tons of running gags that make it super entertaining to watch as well as the fun characters. 100% recommended, it's just two seasons of 10 episodes each, and a movie

@@MRST0R Plenty of the humor is universal, and Slime gives you a good enough baseline to get the rest from context. Or at least the gist. The isekai jokes can be funny, but it's not THE thing that makes the show funny or good. It's not even near the top of the list.
Imo it's a waste of time to sit through a bunch of other mediocre isekai anime just to get every reference in Konosuba. Especially for a reaction channel that will take months to get through just one.
Konosuba is on my list of must watch anime. Most other isekai are not.
Definitely a must watch for anime fans, but kinda like jojo you need to have watched a few shonen respectively to get the tropes getting overexaggerated/made fun of.

Fun fact: In the novels, a side character thought the exact same thing. He and Kazuma (the mc) traded parties, and after only a day of adventuring with Kazuma’s party, he came back begging to cancel the trade and for both of them to return to their original party.
Meanwhile, Kazuma had a great time with Dust's party. He wanted to stay with Dust's party and they wanted him to stay too.
I realy hope they do teh DUst spin off as an anime.
@@lordfrz9339 Pretty sure that was a part of the source material of S1 but wasn’t included in the anime for whatever reason, so it probably won’t ever get adapted unfortunately. Although, I would also like to see a Dust spin-off, and I would’ve 100% changed out the succubus episode for an episode covering this if I could, it would’ve been 🔥

KonoSuba is a comedy anime. Just like Reincarnated as a Slime, KonoSuba is an isekai in that someone is transported into another world. It's definitely one of my favourite comedies. Someone might explain more about the characters or premise, but I find it fun to just get to know them yourself. The character comedy of the show is strong. The show is mostly SFW, but the MC does some questionably not SFW things (in a comedic way of course).
Also, the second ending is sung by part of the cast.
A good way to describe it while give a very basic idea of the character and without spoilers would be : "Imagine a normal guy thrown into a fantasy world with monsters and magic forming an adventuring group with 3 of the most disfonctional people you'll find in anime have incredibly funny adventures." There is not one lie in all of this and it say almost nothing of the anime, but I'll bet a lot of people will want to see it just to have an idea of what it means.

Underrated? Really? I find that hard to believe. Seems like one of the most popular parody anime and also on a lot of anime lists for top isekai anime. Not to mention it has so much merchandise which is something you wouldn’t be able to find if the anime was underrated. Ranking of Kings I would consider to be underrated since it’s near impossible to find any merch of even the lead character.

this anime is just stupid fun like every episode is just fun and pure enjoyment it is lighthearted. this anime is just relaxing and comedy combined. also the main character has the same voice actor as gabiru from reincarnated as a slime

Konosuba subverts many of the Isekai tropes that are typically treated with a degree of seriousness and makes it all fun and a bit ridiculous. And, there is character growth too, which is always a good thing.
No 🤣🤣 Konosuba was not created to make fun of the Isekai genre, moreover, the author has never said anything like that in all these years, either in publications or interviews, even Japanese fans know it, since the series "has become made as a mockery" was a rumor that originated in the west by our community 🤷 why?? It is not yet known, even many wonder what made them think that when the author never said anything.

Konosuba is widely considered one of the best comedy anime. It's hilarious throughout, has some cool action bits and it's just such great fun. Absolutely worth checking out if you like lighthearted fun.
Also, both openings are completely spoiler free. And the events in the second opening are not shown in the anime. It's its own contained little story and that's just so cool to me.
The first ending spoils Megumin and Darkness's existance, but they are both shown in episode 2
Konosuba is primarily a comedy series; there is some action in it, but for the most part it's used as part of a joke or punchline. I've seen it compared to a sitcom set in a fantasy world, which honestly isn't that bad of comparison. Ultimately, it's a story about the characters, and the various messed-up situations their quirks and flaws get them into. And for the most part? It works really well- you can tell the VAs were having a ton of fun with it.
Konosuba is like DND/Pathfinder game where you only roll a Nat 1 or Nat 20, aka only really good things or really bad things happen, never a middle ground, but they balance each other out to the point it feels like there is a middle ground.
more like pathfinder, where every character is not only not optimized, but even harmed to only ever perform one task and nothing else.
Megumin is a mage with only one spellslot
Darkness is a fighter with high con and great armor, but somehow got a negative mod for to hit
Aqua is... actually realy strong, but the player just refuses to do anything unless told to
and finaly Kasuma is a rogue class with extremly badly rolled strats for the most part
And then DM gets frustrated at the party not moving anywhere so he makes the Big Bad’s General move in nearby.

You will 100% love it. The show is hilarious and very heartwarming. When ever I have a bad day I put on a couple of episodes and it can lift up my spirits.
The 2nd konosuba op is just a perfect representation of the show. Another op whose full version i have listened to countless times. The eds are sung by the three VAs for the 3 female MCs in character and yes, they are all great singers.
Konosuba is a series that became as good as it did thanks to the director, Takaomi Kanasaki. The studio itself, Studio Deen, do not have good track record with well produced shows but Konosuba is a big exception. The director also did the Kokoro connect anime which has a similar level of visual similarity and quality to it.
We are finally getting more of the series with a spinoff and a season 3 in the future too. It is not the same director but hopefully, both of them turn out well.

@@softandwet7584 Keyword being track record. Sure, they may have some good shows but the bad outweighs the good. Deen is not exactly getting the top studio award anytime soon. Also, Fate was pretty butchered since they mixed up the timelines and created the chronology issue for anime.

Konosuba is a fantastic anime. I watched it 3 total times all the way through. Twice by myself then once with my brother, and through both rewatches I loved it just as much as the first time. It’s very much lighthearted and absolutely HILARIOUS. I recommend it to anyone if they’re looking for a good laugh.
Konosuba its one of my all time favorites, every time i have a bad day i just rewatch some episodes and im good. Honestly i dont remember how many times ive seen the 2 seasons and the movie and can not wait for the Megumin spin off that drops this spring season :D

This Ed is so nostalgic even though is actually a "kinda" recent anime because this plays after the littles adventures they have in each episode.

The endings are just super relaxing...like 'end of the day at the farm' vibes. The full title translates to 'Gods Blessing on this Wonderful World'

I'm just popping in again to mention Golden Kamuy! once again, just mentioning it to keep it relevant, not trying to pressure or cause any stress.
my friends and I actually watched several episodes together yesterday (I've been newly getting them into it) and I actually lost my voice by this morning, because of how much we were talking, laughing, and yelling at the TV due to cool plot twists. it's actually a weirdly good feeling... I love my friends, and I love this show for giving me such a good experience with them. I just hope some of these good vibes can be passed along somehow... I hope you're having a really good day too.
Konosuba is a good vibes show as well... though I think it's more fun for people who know the isekai genre well, because the comedy often relies on being a parody of that genre. it still has plenty of independently funny moments, but if you've seen a lot of isekai, or if you know how they typically go, then a lot of the goofy subversions of the usual formula will be extra entertaining.
Fun fact about the second ending that sounds like a country music song: It's actually a reverse country music song about taking responsibility for your actions and going home to apologize and hope there might still be some dinner for you after you screwed up. If you watch the show, you'll understand just how fitting that is!
Edit: Also this would be a good series for your CZcams reactions, it's only 2 seasons (and a REALLY good movie!), it's a very fun series and shouldn't be too cheeky or gory for editing!
While there are not very many dark moments in this show, the main element that this show shines in is its absolute comedy, genuinely recommend watching this cause you'll definitely have a blast no matter what AND the main character is quite likeable as well!

The storyline, which takes a backhanded approach to the otherworldly reincarnation anime that abounds in the world, is a sight to behold, and each character is full of charm.

Konosuba is just a beautiful show. It's absolutely hilarious and very well written. It's not an anime you take seriously like whatsoever but it's a brilliant take on the "isekai" genre on the opposite end of how Re:Zero took their brilliant take on the isekai genre. And this is coming from someone that doesn't really like isekai anime (reincarnated in other world) that's why this gives you the same vibe as the slime anime since both are Isekai (btw theres is like 10 isekai every new anime season, their literally hundreds). Konosuba is slapstick comedy satire of the "Isekai" genre. You've dipped your toe into Isekai with Slime, the idea of being reincarnated in a new world, and this is having one GIANT laugh at that. You're right about lighthearted, it's a good time from start to finish, and you'd LOVE it.
That being said, SO much censored boobs and perversion that for your OWN mental health i'd consider making it a Patreon only show JUST so you don't feel the need to pause and say "CHAT, CHEEKY, I CANT HAVE THIS ON SCREEN" every ten seconds. The show is self-censoring enough that people post reactions on youtube without getting taken down, but it's lewd and pervy AT LEAST once an episode.
There's 2 seasons and a movie that I gotta say, the movie was the funniest thing i've seen in a theater in years! Season 3 expected to drop just about any time now.
Hmmm...I don't remember the entire series being that bad, in terms of "perversion" and nudity. Weren't there just a few episodes like that? To be honest, it's been a while, and I can only remember two, the one where Kazuma "hires 'someone' to provide a certain service", and naughty chaos ensues, and the other when Darkness goes back home. Is there more than that, apart from the "normal stuff" that happens, like when Darkness is "enjoying herself," or Kazuma is using his "steal powers"?

This anime is one of the funniest anime of all time and has an extremely enjoyable main cast, considering they're all weird aholes. The side characters are also pretty great, and there's hardly a dull moment with it all. It's one of the animes that are fantastic and hilarious in both sub or dub so you can watch it how you like. It only has 2 seasons with 20 episodes and a movie so far, but a 3rd season and a spin off series has already been announced. It's personally my 2nd favorite anime series of all time and I can not suggest it enough

You should totally watch this after slime! It's super fun and light hearted and it's probably the funniest anime I've ever watched personally.
This is a great anime, a lot of peoples favorite comedy anime, and one I really love as well. And the cast especially is one of animes most beloved band of misfits. The konosuba girls are definitely the best worst girls of anime XD.
I can definitely recommend watching it, BUT, only after watching a bunch of other stuff first, it doesn't really make sense to watch a spoof of the isekai genre, which makes fun of the tropes, if you haven't watched a lot of isekai first. It's still great even without that background, but it definitely helps to have it.
And yes, the one with the blue hair is definitely well known for her...assets... the community joke theory is that she was afraid of the MC looking at her panties and therefore made them invisible, big brain.
Best scene: kazuma x chimera chick from the first movie. Had me laughing my lungs out

No 🤣🤣 Konosuba was not created to make fun of the Isekai genre, moreover, the author has never said anything like that in all these years, either in publications or interviews, even Japanese fans know it, since the series "has become made as a mockery" was a rumor that originated in the west by our community 😐😐😐😐 why?? It is not yet known, even many wonder what made them think that when the author never said anything 🤷🤷
The comedy in this anime is pure gold. I always laugh my a** off. A recommended watch if you want to laugh and forget you worries. You'll definitely love these cast of goofballs.
Konosuba is a send-up of all the overly-serious adventure and 'other world' (isekai) anime, an absolute masterpiece of an anime, and I will gladly fight anyone who says it isn't the funniest anime of all time. It's the first anime I've ever watched 3 times through without giving up part way through. The jokes hit perfectly every time, the characters are wonderfully broken in every way and I can't recommend it enough.

Konosuba is just COMEDY GOLD!! I love this anime, one of the most hilarious anime I know, along with Gintama and Saiki K., these three are my favorite. I'd say you to watch Saiki K. openings too, those are................ strange and unique, just like the anime itself, which is a crriminally underrated anime too.
there's a spin-off of this, Re:Zero, Overlord and Tanya the Evil where the characters all wind up in an isekai high school set up together called Isekai Quartet, it's a lot of dumb fun that has very little to do with the actual shows besides the characters themselves
Konosuba is the kind of anime you come back to when all you want is a soul cleanse from dark/depressing anime and a good good laugh, this show is comedy gold and I cannot recommend this one enough for a good laugh and a good time.
There's only 20 main episodes, 2 specials and a movie so if you want something short to just enjoy yourself you can't go wrong with Konosuba.

Konosuba is by far the funniest anime I’ve ever seen. I saw the movie in theaters and I was cry laughing so hard I almost passed out, I HIGHLY recommend this anime
I like how it makes fun of typical isekai tropes. I fell in love with it. Wholesome and hilarious. I’d recommend it to anyone who is a veteran or a newcomer to anime.
It subverts your expectations in a different way: it's parody of its genre and dripping with sarcasm.
This show is a pure comedy. It is nothing but fun. If you want something super serious you won't find it with Konosuba. I 100% recommend everyone watch it.
This is one of the rare times anime ops and eds are absolutely spot on, konosuba is such a laid back and fun anime. You cannot go wrong watching it... it is a bit cheeky tho but mostly only for comedic purposes

Konosuba is a comedy through and through, and probably my favorite. A lot of times I might find things amusing but not necessarily laugh out loud funny, but my first watch-through of Konosuba was a blast.
And fun fact since I haven't really seen anyone else commenting it yet, but both of the ending themes are actually sung by the main female leads
The theme for the openings is “We’re going on an adventure!” The theme for the endings is “Time to go home after a hard day’s work!” That’s why the OPs are so energetic and the EDs are so chill.

Prime OST reaction material: Made in Abyss' "Hanezeve Caradhina"! Honestly the entire OST is fantastic, but that one is super memorable and absolutely beautiful. Can't wait for you to be blown away by the show too.
Super light hearted. It's the only group of friends in an anime that I believe are actual friends and not an excuse for a harem.
Quick nothe: KonoSuba is short for kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo,witch basically translates to "a blessing on this wonderful world",and YES this time the cards are down it is what the ops & eds are giving you witch is a lighthearted,cheacky FUNNY AF show,like literally you'll be crying from laughing on this show,it's incredibly funny,it is that kind of a show in witch you'd have a binge watch weekend marathon,highly recommend you watch it at some point.
I want to recommend 3-Gatsu No Lion, Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These. All of these are amazing underwatched anime.

The opening is how the show looks. The endings are how you feel after a season or something... A lot of wholesome feelings and a tiny bit of sadness that you will miss these fun characters.
The characters are the souls of Konosuba. And the plot does not even exist. It's just light-hearted, cheeky fun. It's like a parody fanfic to all these adventure anime...
