    I have read some complaints that the outer 12 denier nylon is so thin it allows to much air movement and heat loss. What do you think?

      The shell is thin but not much more than other sleeping bags. For me that hasn't been an issue. I've only used the bag inside shelters vs something more exposed like a tarp.

    So this bag would not work for the Summer?

      Depends on the temperatures you experience. For me, this bag is uncomfortably warm for night time lows exceeding 50 degrees F.

    Can you show us how to get the western mountaineering to fit iin the small bag? I just bought the terralite and for the life of me I can't fit it in he small bag they gave us...help..lol

      Start with the head side and go slow. Down is very compressible, just need to wait for the air to move out.

    Thank´s for a great review! I'm just into buying the Megalite or the Terralite. Is the Megalite roomy enough for turning while sleeping, and do you stick your knees into the sides while turning? I'm a tall guy but not big and maybe 21 over my shoulders. It's because I'm a side sleeper that I look on the Terralite, otherwise I would go for the Megalite right away. Best regards, Olle - North Sweden.

      I have no problem turning in the megalite. With my knees bent I do not feel constricted. Western Mountaineering bags are well made, the Terralite seems like a great option if you're concerned about having enough room. Not much of a price difference between the two. Thanks for watching!

      Great to hear! One more positive thing withe the Terralite is the possibilty of open up the whole bag in hot weather. I start bird hunt in early autumn and above the polar circle we often get lows during night in late august and regulary in september. But only with clear sky and the bag must work in both situations. I guess the Megalite can be used as a blanket too when fully opened. That bag is even lighter than the Terralite and I'm in back country all the time. Also an advantage for the Mega.

    Can you sleep in this comfortable in -1 celsius?

    • @WavesTrails
      @WavesTrails  Před rokem +1

      Yes that's within its comfort rating.

      @@WavesTrailsok, How cold you can sleep comfortably?

    • @WavesTrails
      @WavesTrails  Před rokem +2

      I've used it down to -1C with a fleece and hat on. I used the hat as I tuck my pillow into the hood. Personally, I would feel fine down to -7C, but each person is a little different.

      @@WavesTrails ok, thanks about the information. Maybe -3 C would be enought for me. It depends also how much humidity is in the air.

      You're welcome. In the Sierra Nevada, it is often very low humidity.
