    Never caught many on a neko rig. It’s me. I can definitely feel it better deep than shakeyheads with a lighter weight.

    Thanks for the tips man! I've never tried a Neko rig, but you've inspired me! My favorite is the underspin, it got me started with winter fishing last year, and has paid off this year too

      Of course! Glad to hear you are going to try the Neko. Fish it just like shakey head and you will get bit. Caught some in my tournament today on the Neko! The underspin is a staple I love the underspin. Fish catching machine. I caught my PB spot on an underspin.

      @campetro10 heck yeah man! I just got livescope on my boat, tried it out today, didn't have much luck on the bass but I did catch some crappie using it. And dang brother, I couldn't imagine fishing a tournament out there today, it was cold haha but I'm giving the Neko a shot tomorrow morning thanks for the tips brother

      @@br1ooksmith104 you are going to love livescope. you can learn a ton from it. it wont make them jump in the boat though! it was very cold and windy but fun. Let me know if you catch anything on the Neko.
      Stay tuned for the tournament video!

    Good video. I usually use a spinnerbait, specifically a freedom tackle rigged with a kietech swimbait. I can fish it shallow or slow roll it in deeper water.

    A lot of our ditch fishing down here in the south on places like Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn I tend to fish more in that 10 to 25ft zone but I have caught them out deeper at times. We're fishing for largemouth primarily but I still throw a lot of the same baits. I guess that's just an example of good baits/techniques catch them regardless of where you're at. Recently found your channel and subbed been watching a bunch of your videos keepem coming man!!

      Very cool, when I lived in Texas I used to fish a lot of stumps in the ditches in the winter time on Fork. Only got down to big Sam and Toledo Bend a couple of times. Absolutely, details change such as depth, color, and brand of baits but the fundamentals are the same on how the fish set up. Appreciate it! I will indeed.

      Definitely, the Neko is a fish catcher for sure. Actually caught some fish on the Neko today in a tournament!

    This is a good video, but, it would have been a lot better if you would have included the rod, reel, and line you used for each bait.

    • @campetro10
      @campetro10  Před 7 měsíci

      Great feedback! thank you i will definitely try to include more of the rod and reel setups in future videos. is there a particular set up you were curious about?

      Your swim bait set up’s for deep water. Of course deep is relatively based on the deepest part of a lake. The deepest water in the six lakes I fish in South Central Mississippi roughly 26 to 28 feet.

    • @campetro10
      @campetro10  Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@williamschneider6811 Yes fishing depth is absolutely relative but the principles of where you are fishing remain similar. Nice! are they large lakes?
      Swimbait/ Underspin Setups (they can be interchangeable for 3/8 or 1/2 oz heads):
      Spinning: GLoomis NRX+ 872S JWR and Shimano Vanford 2500 with 10 or 12lb braided main line with 10-15 feet of 8 or 10lb fluorocarbon leader
      Casting: GLoomis NRX+ 883 BJR and Shimano Metanium 8.0:1 reel with 10lb fluorocarbon
      If you are fishing around heavy cover and for largemouth i would upsize from medium power rods to medium heavy and go from 10lb line to 15 or 20lb line. Hopefully that helps!

      Not really. The four fishable lakes range in sizes of 86, 110, 130, and 248 acres. All are man made impoundment and well stocked with cat fish, bass, sac-a-lait (crappie), and different species of perch. The lake I live on had Florida strain bass added 3 years ago.there are two larger state managed lakes close by.

    You fizz the fish coming from 50 feet? Fin clips?

    • @campetro10
      @campetro10  Před 7 měsíci

      I prefer to use fin clips most of the time in a tournament situation. I do fizz fish occasionally but only when I think it’s necessary. If you release the fish right away coming up from 50 feet they normally have no problems swimming right back down to the bottom.
