    I still say that ole disc does a heck of a leveling job and the M is just walking away with it. Have a great weekend and if you happen to find a SANDIA DEPOT watermelon at the supermarket buy it you won't be disappointed. A great howdy from South Texas.

    Looks pretty dry. We've had some slow steady rains. Maybe headed your way.

    Many years ago we farmed with a super M . Pulled 2 Kewanee 10 foot discs with it , one behind the other . No problems . Also pulled 5 shank Graham chisel plow with it . In heavy clay would run out of traction b4 loosing power . Great old tractor .

    Had an old fordson super major use to use it a bunch then broke my thumb Bush hogging that sucked the enjoyment out of it then got sick had to sell to pay bills wish I could get one back but some day maybe but for now I'll have to watch you work with the old iron

    We had very acidy ground over here in the Highlands. We use to put it down spreading it out the Back of a tractor and trailer no fancy spreader for us me and my brothers where the spreaders or the driver of the ford 4000. Least you never hit me in the face with the tree today lol😂 That truck wouldn't go up my Brother's road let aloan the field lol.😂

    I can't believe how dry your fields are! I spread some fertilizer on some hay fields, and left cleat marks behind- Can't even think about tillage yet lol

    Most all of the spreader trucks are gone in my area. Not enough farmers left. Having to use a 500 pound 3pt cone spreader on my little patch.

    Best money spent is on lime around here! People “feel” better fertilizing..... but it has stopped having the desired effect because the ph is off so bad. The H sounds great pulling the disc..... beautiful work my man! 4th will knock the snot outta ya in rough soil!

      I have river bottom ground. Goes from water to dry in 36 hours.

    You have to give those fertilizer truck drivers credit for what they do . Get a good spread and don't get stuck .Looks like he did a nice job . I hope he watches the video . Tell him he got a thumbs up from me

    Good god we planted a corn field 2 weeks ago we had 80 degree heat for 3 days then 2 inches of rain then this process for the next 2 weeks
    We had a guy come out said you need to replant a 120ah corn field but the 4 days hole dam field popped up 😂

    Usually the reason for leakage on a Pioneer coupler is a bad O-ring. We found that, anyway.

    How long does that lyme and potash last before it needs to be reapplied when the pH drops again? And with how much he was chucking to the wind isn't there a way to drop it in as a liquid to keep it from blowing away on you? Seems like you're losing some of what you're paying for.

      Replace annually. The dust actually settles. I always lime on days that are under 5mph wind

    Ph is vital, healthy dust for growing stuff in that dirt 2:31 And yeah the super crazy weather with all the frosts made it a safer time to plant 5:00 In your experience with fields is Cow/Horse manure better? Or same

      My guess it is a 4 cylinder IH motor .But you could google it. It looks original from what I have seen of the motor

      I imagine that it was once overhauled in the lifetime of the engine. Most people back then would go from 248 cubic inches to 264 or even up to 281.

      @@FarmallFanatic Lime about the last thing we need. Most soils here are lime stone clay based. Manure tends to raise PH too so farmers here have to watch were they spread it. Many of the old farmhouses are built out of limestone rocks and the ones that aren't are sitting on limestone foundations.

      Wow, it's really wide.
      I have 7 acres in Korea. Very rich farmers have about 100 acres.
      There are very few rich farmers.

      That's a sliding draw bar...designed to move. Eventually...probably after planting...yes I realize...it's face is red

      @@FarmallFanatic Huh, never heard of allowing the draw bar to slide when harrowing (or any other time for that matter). I only remember angling ours when we plowed, so the right tire ran in the open furrow. Quite an art getting the trip timing right at the end of the furrow, well at least it was for a twelve year old. Thanks for the memories - love what you're doing!
