You guys are not getting the picture. This was Hardiks own way to glory and he has planned this from a very long time with a cool head. Right after his captaincy became an accidental hit for Gujarat. He played some innings for the national team and then moving himself out in crucial times by the excuse of injuries. No matter what anyone says. The way he got injured in this world cup and ruled himself out of the picture was totally fishy and it was never possible for such a fitness enthusiast player. IPL never ceases to amaze me in the things it does to make it wanna hate it. As an Australian, even I can see how it has done no good for the Indian team, didn’t help them win any t20 World Cup for the past 10 years, and many Aussie players get injured here and forego international commitments

You are being very superficial by saying that the IPL has done no good for Indian cricket just because India hasn't won a T20 WC/ICC trophy. IPL has significantly increased the depth of Indian cricket by producing many talented players. Most of the players who are currently in or have been a part of the Indian squad have come from Ipl.. Bumrah, SKY, Pant, Rinku.. I could go on and on.. but the point is, these players competed against the best in the world, came out on top and now they are in the national team..that's because of IPL. India may not have won an ICC trophy in the last 10 years, but India has consistently performed well in all these tournaments. They have reached either the finals or semi-finals in all these ICC events (except the 2021 T20 WC). Anybody can win or lose a match on a particular day. India, sadly has been on the wrong side when it comes to knockouts/finals. But Indian cricket has only become stronger because of IPL. Even now when I am writing this comment, India is the number one ranked side in all three formats of the game. Indian cricket is headed in the right direction, winning an ICC trophy is just a matter of time.

Ipl teams and its history itself is just about money and fame. While for almost all football clubs be it big teams or some random lower league clubs all have been a symbol of history, culture and local community. Like for eg. This was Hardiks own way to glory and he has planned this from a very long time with a cool head. Right after his captaincy became an accidental hit for Gujarat. He played some innings for the national team and then moving himself out in crucial times by the excuse of injuries.
No matter what anyone says. The way he got injured in this world cup and ruled himself out of the picture was totally fishy and it was never possible for such a fitness enthusiast player.
He is creating scarcity and demand in the international as well as in ipl knowing very well,that the time of Rohit and Virat are coming to an end. He purposely moved out of the Indian squad to create the disbalance in the team.
And then his accidental success in ipl has again increased his value for the future in MI and he has just encashed it to the fullest.

It always boggles my mind when someone says that IPL has done nothing for Indian cricket. You are being very superficial by saying that the IPL has done no good for Indian cricket just because India hasn't won a T20 WC/ICC trophy. IPL has significantly increased the depth of Indian cricket by producing many talented players. Most of the players who are currently in or have been a part of the Indian squad have come from Ipl.. Bumrah, SKY, Pant, Rinku.. I could go on and on.. but the point is, these players competed against the best in the world, came out on top and now they are in the national team..that's because of IPL. India may not have won an ICC trophy in the last 10 years, but India has consistently performed well in all these tournaments. They have reached either the finals or semi-finals in all these ICC events (except the 2021 T20 WC). Anybody can win or lose a match on a particular day. India, sadly has been on the wrong side when it comes to knockouts/finals. But Indian cricket has only become stronger because of IPL. Even now when I am writing this comment, India is the number one ranked side in all three formats of the game. Indian cricket is headed in the right direction, winning an ICC trophy is just a matter of time.

Even their recent victory against Australian in the T20 series is not that great, coz India was playing at home, half the t20 team should’ve gone home, coz they were drunk and hungover from partying from the World Cup, other half of the team are the Aussie B team of T20, and they have less than 20 games of T20 experience, and some have not even played out of Australia, let alone play in India or IPL. Whereas the Indian t20 team played overseas many times, Asia cup, etc.

Cricketing culture was not developed by playing International matches, It was developed due to County Cricket which was league played between County clubs like worcestershire, Middlesex, Essex, Lancashire etc.

Ipl teams and its history itself is just about money and fame. While for almost all football clubs be it big teams or some random lower league clubs all have been a symbol of history, culture and local community. Like for eg. Barcelona is living symbol of Catalan culture and Catalan people's resistance against general franco's dictatorship. While Man Utd was formed by railway workers and Schalke had many players and supporters were coal miners. Forget european teams, even Mohun Bagan has way bigger history than this ipl nonsense.
