It's bonus because it does not take away the other video scheduled on the day. They've said the same about Filmhaus, they just don't put bonus in the title.
Its already a thing. Called "Board as Hell" idk why they just threw it up randomly as a bonus "Board Game Show" video lol but yea it has a few episodes for First members already
So, they don't explain the rules in this one. If anyone watching is kinda lost here is a basic explanation:
The game is composed of two teams. On each one there's a Spy masters, the Spy masters have acess to a card that has a grid indicating where all the red spyes, blue spyes, civiclians and the assassin are located on the "board".
In every round the spy master say a hint, composed of only one word that relates to the one of their spy's codenames on the board. Than they say a number, indicating how many codenames are related to the hint. This number also determines how many guesses they get for that round.
The team then, fallows the hint to uncover cards.if a civilian or one of the oposing team's spy are uncovered they lose their turn.
If one of the team's spys are uncovered they keep guessing. If the assassin is uncovered the team that did it lose imeadiatly
The goal is to uncover all of your team's spyes before the other team.

I really liked this video, you guys are doing great. Board games are the new hot thing im telling you.
This game was a lot easier for me to follow than some of the other ones. I think the issue I have with some of the other games, like the Backstabbers one or the Cargo game is that I don't know what cards or items each player has. In this case, I think the viewers should know what assassin's code is, so that we can be in the position of the spy masters. Personally, it's a bit harder for me to "watch from the point of view of the spies," because there are a lot of ways they guess based on their friendship and personal relationships, and information they know about the spy master, guessing what their decisions were (like the Neil Diamond thing). In the case of Backstabbers, we're just watching a bunch of people play a game, when we could have engaged and rooted for specific people based on their current cards.
Just a thought... Perhaps I could also get my own friends to play board games with, but commenting is easier.:)

For some reason, the transmissions to/from HQ sound like a news bulletin alert. So sneaky! :D Yes, I am watching this for a second, or maybe third, time about a year after this video has come out. Gives me something to watch while in bed because it was getting too late to keep playing Codenames on Tabletop Simulator.

This Board Game Show is so fun to watch. I also play a lot of these games with my mates :)
Love the series! You guys should check out Mysterium. The game has beautiful art and is kind of like this game without talking and communicating only with pictures as clues. One player as a ghost gives players cards that have pictures in an attempt to lead them to find out who, where, and what item they were killed with which is randomized with card draws each round. If you allow for table talk after each round it is especially fun as the ghost can explain their reasoning and the players can explain their own and it usually ends up being really interesting.

I miss Elyse. It’s really fun to watch her play a character. And I think this game and coup are both much better choices than the last game, which wasn’t quite as fun to watch.
James, Cornish game hens aren't actual game birds. They're just standard meat chickens that are butchered at 4-5 weeks of age instead of 8-10 weeks. The primary meat chicken breed is the Cornish cross, hence the name.
