Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today (Apriul 7, 2015) sought to defuse the row over the statement of the state Advocate General on cow slaughter ban, saying the beef ban will not be extended to any other meat. As the purported remarks by Advocate General Sunil Manohar before the Mumbai High Court that the government might consider extending the ban to other animals as well triggered a controversy, Fadnavis said that according to the law officer his statement was "misinterpreted". "I have spoken to Advocate General. He has said that his statement in the court yesterday has been isinterpreted," Fadnavis said in the state Assembly. The Chief Minister's remarks came in the wake of the AG's response to the high court's query to the government as to why there is ban on slaughter of cows, bulls and bullocks only and not to any other animals like goats. Raising the issue in the House, members from BJP ally Shiv Sena, Arjun Khotkar and Sunil Prabhu, sought to know the state's stand on the high court's query to the government. Earlier, Sunil Prabhu (Sena) said the AG's statement had created confusion in the minds of people. The beef ban has already sparked protests from political and cultural groups, alleging it amounted to encroachment on individual choices and eating habits of large sections of people, especially the minority communities. Chaotic scenes were witnessed in the state Legislative Council, as Opposition and Shiv Sena members opposed the AG's statement.

Rajeev Sharma I surely have to follow the constitution because I value my freedom and do not want to end up behind bars. But the problem is, here for the State Of Maharashtra even beef consumption was illegal! Which I think is more absurd than the law of no cow slaughter( which I have been a critic of). That means one cannot enjoy a beef brisket at a restaurant which imports their meat. Buffalo and other cattle slaughter also had a ban imposed which is utterly obnoxious and a very cruel move to turn a very secular state into a religious theocracy. I mean why the fuck can't a man have a beef burger, I'm bloody paying for it, keep your culture and religion to yourself. Our constitution deserves an amendment otherwise we turn into a sham religion crazed nation like our neighbor Pakistan, which has fucking blasphemy and apostasy laws and yes pork is forbidden there aswell which could equate to the "mild" beef ban here.
In India fortunately we have freedom of religion and also freedom from religion, don't ever say such bullshit laws make sense in a democratic country like ours. The cow might be revered as a God, but it's some person's dinner. Hypocrisy should end.

In his book “The Myth of the Holy Cow,” Professor D N Jha (a brahmin himself) has made available information from the Vedas, the Sanskrit texts, the epics Ramayana and the Mahabaratha and archaeological digs, to show that the Vedic Brahmins were beef eaters, and cows were regularly sacrificed by them. This has been placed before the literate public through Frontline, Outlook and the Hindu Newspaper just to name just a few publications... We or human civilization always pass through new era, experiences, compulsions, needs and innovations. Majority of Indians are with the faith that cow slaughter is outraging the sensitivity of one religion and they believe it spiritually and I personally believe it must be respected. Indian constitution respects all faiths and religions. Banning Cow slaughter taking consent of majority of Hindus would be right move. It does not harm Muslims or Christians. For better quality protein and calcium one can eat fish, milk and other substitutes. Our temperature does not go to minus degree to need more calories and fats. IF Government TAKES DECISION JUSTIFIED. When our generation develops higher and needs otherwise they may take their own decision. This moment banning right decision.
There is no problem likely to arise, if the government does it in a systematic well planned and well communicated manner. We as Indians should support it.

COW - Is one of the most magical things made available to us by nature. He praises gau mootra very highly. It helps all three doshas. Vaata and Kapha it cures completely and also cures Pitta if taken with some ayurvedic medicines. It has all the 18 odd micronutrients that are available in mud (Jersey cow has only 3).
All the 148 ailments can be cured by gau mootra( Cow urine). This is the only thing with such a possibility. Have done thousands of experiments on this and found mind boggling results. भक्ति में परमपिता या माँ ( प्रकृति शक्ति सृष्टि नेचर गाय कायनात )इनमे से किसी भी एक का किया हुआ अनादर द्वेष भक्ति को पूर्ण नहीं बनाता है, और दूसरे को नाराज कर देता है,,जैसे माँ प्रकृति का किया हुआ अनादर परमपिता को नहीं भाता और परमपिता का किया हुआ अनादर द्वेष माँ को अस्छा नहीं लगता ,वो दोनों एक ही है, दोनों अटूटनीय है ,वो सबसे प्यार और रहम करते है, कोई एक ही मजहब उनके लिए प्यारा नहीं है, अगर ऐसा होता तो वो उसी एक मजहब को ही सुख देते, दुःख कभी नहीं देते बरकत देते, चार चार हाथ और पैर देते, पर ऐसा नहीं है मेरे दोस्त,, वो सबको देते है, सबको चाहते है,,सबके प्यार को समझते है, उनकी निर्मिति पे उंगली उठाना, किसी को भी कम, छोटा या गलत समझना सबसे बड़ी नासमझी है ,,माँ और पिता सुखी रहे,,वो सुखी है,,उन्हें मेरा नमन , ॐ ॐ ॐ माँ परमपिता ॐ
If slaughtering and eating an innocent animal is justified, then feeding human meat and slaughter of humans should also be justified, and all anti human trafficking laws should be abolished from the country, hope my all secular, democratic friends shall also agree with it.
