    Great info. Thanks. Love Cebu, been there three times now, am planning our next trip to Bantayan Island. Greetings from Maguindanao.

      Cebu has a lot to offer just like many other larger islands. You are quite far south now it appears. I hope to visit Bantayan soon as well.
      Thanks for watching Ralph.

    Another great and informative video. Thank you for all your effort in making these videos. My love is for Dumaguete as many in the Philippines, however, the more information we have on the Philippines -- the better.

      I spent a couple very short days in Dumaguete over a year ago and it was much too short to get a good look at it. I know it is a favorite of many expats. Thanks for watching Gary.

    Philippines as big as Arizona or Nevada? Landwise perhaps. Philippines is much bigger if we take into consideration the sea and the range of the EEZ(exclusive economic zone).

      That is true Rolando. I was just comparing the land area and the population density. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Rod Thanks for promoting our beloved island of cebu,,during the spaniards era King Humabon was the king of cebu,,and Lapulapu was the cheiftain of mactan island,,that's why our cebuano dialect is mixed w/ spanish,,ex; we used spanish words in counting numbers or quantity of things,and some other words came orignally from spaniards ,

      Cebu City is a small big city with about 20 million fewer people in the metropolitan area I believe. There are lots to see and do on Cebu. Thanks for watching Clyde.

      I have been planning this for many months and finally just did it. It can be intimidating for many to travel outside one's area so hope this helped. There is so much to see and do here. Thanks for watching Will.

    Good info Rod, good video. Since I have returned to Canada I ran out of the Turmeric/lemon grass/ginger mixture you recommended to me when we met at Ayala Mall. Checked with some local Asian Grocers but they don't carry it; all is not lost as a new Filipino grocery store opened outside of Toronto. Seafood City has opened a large supermarket, I'm going to check it out as soon as I get the chance to make the 3 hour drive. Merry Christmas keep safe.

      @AmazingPhilippines1  Před 6 lety

      Glad to hear you had a successful and safe trip. You might have to order the turmeric online or just find the root and make tea or drink from it. Merry Christmas to you all as well Brian and thanks for the update.

      There is a beautiful Chinatown in Victoria BC. Try searching for Chinatowns in Canada, perhaps you will find one. I am sure you can find it there.

    It's very interesting and informative, but at 8:18 the audio volume took a dive. Oops, came back at 10:17. :) Wow, that was a pretty in-depth tour! Thanks for the video!

      Thanks for watching and that info. I reviewed the video before I uploaded it and didn't detect these issues so not sure what happened. I have the option to raise the overall volume and will probably do that in the future.

    Excellent info. I was just on Mactan Island in November for two weeks. I wanted to go to Talisay City to see somebody but I wasn't sure of the transportation and how to get there. I was thinking on renting a car and driver or take one of them Korean transportation vans up there. But Mactan Island in Basak was cool. I enjoyed the people there.

    • @AmazingPhilippines1
      @AmazingPhilippines1  Před 6 lety

      Interesting. Mactan Island has its own personality with lots to do and I have met several expats who live over there and like it. Generally, the cost to rent seems to be cheaper and also in Talisay City. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.

      I reviewed the video before I uploaded and didn't notice any issues but I have heard a few complaints about the volume in one section.
      Thanks for watching John. Google Earth offers a lot of info but many times the locations of businesses are not very accurate. My condo shows about 4 different locations in the general vicinity of where it actually is.

    Yes, it is interesting to use Google but as a corporation it should be broken up as a monopoly!

    • @AmazingPhilippines1
      @AmazingPhilippines1  Před 6 lety

      I would tend to agree with you, Gary. Google offers a lot but does too much tracking and there are major privacy issues as well as the monopoly side of things. They are being investigated by several governments for a number of reasons.
