It's gonna take years for LEC to produce another team like that. The 2019 G2 had the biggest chances for the title.

there has never been a western team like this iteration of g2. they were some of the best in the world in every position, homegrown as well. no imports, actual western talent. hope we can see some of that in NA

I still remember the day when G2 fought SKT in Quarterfinal. They played it so well, but when they play against FPP, it was a throw of the centries in world championship final.
It was semi finals and yeah even lwx (fpx adc) admitted that g2 underperformed and it should not have been a 3-0

This legit makes me feel so much because I was legit in my best form as well during college. All As only one B. Killing it in fencing getting 1st or second every competition, I was in peak running form, and always having fun with my best friends everyday and landed a banging internship. I had legit defied everyone who thought I was gonna burn out cause I was leading 3 different organizations as president, TA to 3 professors, and volunteering plus my sports. Yet I overcame everyone and gave them more then what they expecting out of me. 2019 and this team was more personal just because it reminds me of the all the good that happened in 2019.
Music could have a bit more built up during the video, take a look at "G2 almost kings" on yt. Music starts slow but during the latter part of the video it takes of conveying the hype moments.

Its sooo sad G2 lost the final against FPX it would have been a Pefect year (Spirng Title, MSI Title, Sommer Title and worlds champion) for a perfect team and even tho G2 is pretty strong right now again it just doesnt fell the same like 2019. #BestTeamEuropeHasEverProduced

But its safe to say out of maybe 90% of their games 2019 g2 has left its mark in league history . Ngl europe was nothing till g2 came . And now g2 has eu best mid and beat adc . Caps is and always will be better as shaker who coinflips more as G2 during regular split
All I really remember from thay year is the way Caps got manhandled in the finals. Worst even, he back to back finalists and could not win a single game neither against Rookie or DoinB.
Only for them to get swept by FPX in the finals, unlucky
