    “If your on a budget and ok with unstable video this is a great drone”…, my thoughts exactly, can’t believe how great this drone is for the cost. I wanted to learn how to use a drone before I went and dropped $500 on the Mavic mini two and this has been a home run. Thanks for a great video.

  • @glennnorthrop8080

    I just purchased this drone and have been flying it for about a week so far (1st drone I've owned). I've had slightly better results on the "return to home" accuracy, with just about every landing within 3' of my take off point. Some have been "spot on" and I suspect that the difference might be my proximity to GPS signals, local building reflections, strength of wind, etc. I'm super-pleased at the ease of flying of this drone, and have been impressed with the Video so far...even if it's a bit jerky at times (I expected this as the camera does not have a gimbal). Since I wanted to test the video but I only had a Sandisk Extreme microSD card that held 128 MB, I took the chance and used it anyway and got excellent results despite the manufacturers rating of using cards that were no larger than 64MB. Lastly, I'm glad I bought this model as my "1st drone" as I paid only $162 on Amazon (all in) as it was on sale during a four day "Father's Day" special. (Note: Since then the advertised price on Amazon went up to $199) I had pretty much settled on the DJI Mavic Mini 2, but after realizing that the Mini was almost $500 more (all in with taxes, combo, etc), I'm happy to hone my skills with the Holy Stone before I graduate to a more capable (and expensive) drone.

    • @RDsRCReviews
      @RDsRCReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      Excellent points and I completely agree with all of your points. RTH accuracy can vary a lot with these drones that don't have precision landing. The DJI Mini 2 basic with one battery is "only" $430. You can also get the Fimi X8 Mini for around $370.

    Just got this for christmas, for a 120 dollar drone it is actually really cool. The video sucks due to no image stabilization but the images are pretty decent. The gps is pretty solid as well and have had it up in some higher winds and it handled them pretty good. Im planning on learning on this and upgrading to a dji.

    I watched your video after ordering my HS175D and decided to “upgrade” to the new HS360 before even trying the 175D. Then I read your comments talking about getting the Mini 2. I tried the HS360 and the toilet bowling and NOT level 5 wind resistant caused 2 immediate uncontrollable crashes. I immediately sent it back and ordered a Mini 2 fly more combo. Still waiting for it to get here (today or tomorrow!) and I know I’m going to be happy. Thanks for being an honest reviewer and pushing people (like me) in the right direction.

      Wow!! Thanks so much for the appreciation! If they aren't honest then they aren't a reviewer, they are a salesman instead. Unfortunately many of the largest drone and r/c "reviewers" are just salesman. It is easy to spot them because they are never critical of anything they feature on their channels. You'll love the Mini 2. I thought the HS360 was good for the price but it isn't the most stable flyer. It still seems to be the best $200 gimbal drone but it is still far from perfect. The Mini 2 will be light years better.

      I'm not sure since I don't range test anymore due to the new FAA laws. It is too risky to do on CZcams now. You might be able to get 300m but I suspect it'll be much less. The new Holy Stone HS360s Spydi uses a video cable that connects to the controller and the controller that transmits the video signal much like DJI uses so it can go 3KM and from what I'm hearing the 3KM video transmission range is legit. This seems to be the replacement for the 175D and it only costs $160.

      I'm not perfect but I try. Finding things to talk about while trying to get in a full flight review isn't easy especially when it is a drone that flies as good as this one. I assume you mean I repeat myself too much? If so, I'm sure I do. Also, as good as this drone is you are much better off buying a DJI Mini SE if you can afford $299. It has a 3 axis gimbal, better range, just better everything and it is also under that crucial 250g. A purchase link to the SE is in my other recommended drones in the video description.

    I like how you keep calling it a "lower cost drone". I get it that price is relative and there are a lot more expensive drones but I think calling it "lower cost" is going to confuse people into thinking you mean "low cost" and at $170-$180 it's most certainly not low cost.

    • @RDsRCReviews
      @RDsRCReviews  Před 2 lety

      Compared to any drone from DJI it is lower cost. It is too expensive actually for what it offers since you can get similar drones for less. I was looking for an adjective besides "cheap" because cheap often is associated with "junk" and this drone isn't junk.
