When Milo blew her grey import 13BT motor after about 200,000km, I spent time down in Victoria at Terrain Tamer where Alan Gray and the mechanics totally rebuilt, balanced and blue printed the little dump truck engine. This was the first trip out, a 'breaking in' trip from Brisbane down to Coffin Bay on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, about four hundred Kms west of Adelaide, where we did some excellent four wheeling around the sand tracks and beaches of this wild bit of coast. By the time I got home Milo's new donk had clocked a tad over 10,000km.
Yep, plenty of everything except people. This part of Australia isn't well known but it's the home of the some of the world's best seafood as well as some of the worst beach bogging ever. Yep, what with soft sand dunes to swallow trucks and quick sand on the beach that can leave you stranded as the tide comes in, it's no place to take it easy.
I was lucky to do the trip with some awesome people from the Summer Tracks 4WD club, some of whom have become mates for life since then. In this footage you'll see something very unusual, somebody else doing bush fixes on the truck! Dave Griffin is still one of those mechanics I call when I need advice - amazing bloke on the tools!
Righto, settle in, grab a Coopers ale, imagine how good some fresh scallops could taste, and enjoy Coffin Bay - then maybe plan a trip over there yourself!

That curry was great .. Little tip from a chef . Cook the prawns or whatever seafood first then put them back in at the end 👍

Don’t drive near the water line in SA. I nearly learned that the hard way. Luckily I got a snatch out after a few tense minutes with the tide coming in. Coming from Qld/NSW beach driving it caught me out, only afterwards I googled it and found out the hidden danger. Also didn’t help that the rental pressure gauge was reading 10psi to low, I thought I was at 15psi when it actually was at 25psi... only found that out when I was airing up.

@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY Never mind, i was alot younger then and drove like an idiot. So i was very familiar with the disaproving glances from people while driving😀. It never stopped me buying the magazine/DVD, following unlock aus, watching low range/Dustemup tv,seeing Milo go to the museum and watching your YT channel of course.
Thanks for the hard work and years of entertainment.👍
