He’s the perfect zuko so excited to see what he brings to season 2 and 3
Just like the original, Zuko is my favorite in the live action too. Dallas is the perfect live action Zuko and I can't wait to see him in the rest of the series .

you are not the only one! omg I love Zuko in the animated series, he's my favorite and I'm so glad it didn't change with the live-action, I think I fell in love with Zuko all over again haha like not in a creepy way haha I love the way he present himself and how articulate he is.

Dallas was SOOOOO good as Zuko!! He gave an absolutely brilliant performance that even made me cry a couple times. I had a blast watching the show, and appreciate so much all the work that went into it. Can't wait for seasons 2 and 3!

About the sibling rivalry, I also think that Elizabeth Yu did a great job in portraying her jealousy with Zuko. I get reminded of Azula's line "You can't treat me like Zuko!" and then I got to understand that Netflix s1 Azula is a deep dive prequel to the Book 3 Azula.
I have the feeling that once she's let loose into the world, she'll unleash her entire potential. Discover that with a constantly cold blooded mindset and hunger for power she can produce her blue flames frequently, and show us book 2 Azula, smug, collected and ruthless
this actor exudes a lot of confidence , great trait to have in that industry .
Dallas doesn't look like the Zuko I have in mind, but he sure speaks and acts like him. Your questions not only brought out his love for the character, but his work ethic and the thought he puts into his role. What a great interview!
I hope the dont listen too much to some of they hate comments about the show, I get there are criticisms that are constructive and there are improvements that can be made on S2 and 3, but there is a lot of unnecessary and undeserved hate, I watched the show over 10 times and I loved this adaptation for the most part, I give it 8.5/10
I never thought of picturing Dallas as Aang, but now that he said it, I can see it lol. I feel like he'd get the playfulness/humor down well. Gordon is also great at the serious scenes too, so him as Zuko could've worked too. These guys have some range/versatility
In my mind, Zuko will never not be a 90’s emo hardcore elitist who has unironically quoted the “Real emo” copypasta
I think Zuko would like European Power Metal, like, Nocturnal Rites ir Sentenced might be his favorite band.

I think its interesting how he enjoys watching the youtube breakdowns of the show and characters i feel like its what we all do because the show was well crafted into small segments that dont shine fully until the entire plot is revealed however they used to find a fun laugh or to after anouncing the journey ahead of them. Alot of the show on my rewatch of the show had aang sokka always planning the next steps and while team avatar makes progress zuko and iroh are allways in bad luck which hold a bit of irony for they are both from the nation that caused this war and turmoil. Iroh know first hand that the entire fire nation is currupt and tries to guide zuko towards the way of the sunwarriors and the dragons. The secret wasnt anger it was beauty ,passion and realising your apart of that beautiful picture that is the world. Until zuko sees the dragons fire for himself he doesnt find balance in his understanding of this beauty in life. And to us the veiwer it revealed how much zuko has been hurting and wasnt able to accept his uncles love and devotion fully because of his own fears of letting down his father. (Letting down his father is the last thing he should worry about. The harsh punishment he received for atanding up for firenation lives as a young boy was cruel. And when zuko talks to his father to tell him hes going to help the avatar he gets his chance to speak his mind about the exhile and the impossible task he was sent on to.
As for azula the animation makes her an absolute devil someone who takes all info heard and make sit advantageous to her persuits. The only character to embody maniacal behavior and her personality was stripped from the stereotype that the popular girl in school is actually just an angry socially awkward A+ student who coincidentally was princess and also very angry over the throne being given to zuko if ozai died. She was a natural prodigy but never once sane as even flashbacjs of zuko imitating his sister and his mom disaproving of the behaviour. Azula in the present day even hints that she may have killed there grandfather azula to make ozai the firelord. Shes been influences but the tyranical nature of their society and doesnt see the wrong in her choices and actions being loyal to the throne that promises her power.

I agree with Dallas here. The series should have 10 episodes if possible. I think in that way, the show could breathe a bit better in the context of the stories they're about to tell in seasons 2 and 3.
I enjoyed the netflix adaptation. It ain't perfect but has its moments. Hopefully some improvements in futire seasons!!

I think people say he is the best because his arc and Uncle Iroh is well written. The rest is telling and not showing as a script/exposition. I blame writing the most. Most of them are great cast and actors

The hyuga are primarily trained in kung fu but with pressure point techniques
He is not my best pick for zuko but he portrayed zuko pretty good.. He is one of the best thing un the live series.. Ozai also is good the others not so much
