HSR trailers are different and very creative, especially for the recent one. (Also the music bro)
That strange instrument in the Blade trailer that sounds a little like a 'tea kettle' as you quite accurately put it is called a suona. It is a type of flute traditionally played during Chinese funeral processions and is meant to sound like a dying (or literally strangled) bird. There's a lot of symbolism with that for Blade. He's someone who desperately wishes to die but cannot.
I just wanted to point out that at 27:40 you can see Silver Wolf playing Honkai Impact 3rd as Haxxor Bunny, a similar looking character from another miHoyo game.
About April 26th supposedly being a missed opportunity for the release date rather than March 7th.
April 26th is actually the birthday of the man who is known as the founder of the railroad in China. And not only that, April 26th translates to March 7th on the Chinese calendar vs our usual calendar.
Also side note, star rail and genshin take place in the same universe. It's a bit complicated to explain the exact relation as it would require explaining a lot about the mechanics of the universe itself, but they are indeed connected.
Oh also, not sure if anyone's said it yet, so here's a list of main/playable characters who share VAs with Genshin VAs
Acheron = Beidou
Jing Yuan = Cyno
Yanqing = Dehya
Sushang = Dori
Hanya = Eula
Caelus (the male MC) = Gaming
Blade = Lyney (this is everyone's favorite because of the RANGE)
Hook/Asta = Mona
Arlan = Nilou
Natasha = Rosaria
Lynx = Kokomi
Sparkle = Yanfei
Xueyi = Yoimiya
Pela = Changsheng (Baizhu's snake)
Also Ganyu and Keqing VAs voice some currently NPC but maybe future playable characters.
Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact are all in the same multiverse of sort. Kinda MCU-like (example there's character that have versions of themselves in 2 or all 3 of them)
It seems to me that Genshin Impact is a separate universe, but in Penacony there is a drink called Baal and the description of this drink is written there about the forgotten planet "Teyvat"(Tveyat)
@@лианаро it's a separate universe, just like Honkai Impact is, but they all share a Multiverse of sorts. I never played HI3, but I've been told someone was able to glance at Stormterror from there. In HSR, Herta station recovered a Wind Glider from Mondstadt by unknown means.
We don't know for certain what the connection between the 3 verses is, but it's confirmed there is one.
@@ShiningLight They've also said explicitly that their goal is to create a Honkai "metaverse," of sorts. There are countless places that the characters of the Honkai games have never been and Genshin's Teyvat can easily be one of them, just chilling doing its own thing.
As for the Baal drink, the S.P.A.R.K.L.E. concert was a HoYoFair event, meaning all of that narrative content is fanmade and non-canon.
@@лианароyou seem to be not very good at lore, well teyvat got separated by primordial, who did that "microcosm" thing to it, but it's too early to try to figure out the meaning behind these actions

Bailu and Dan Heng have horns not antennas. They are dragon-people
Something to consider about the "time sink" problem a lot of people mention with HSR or Genshin. For one, HSR is not nearly as far in as Genshin so that's a much smaller issue. And two, even WITH Genshin, it's only a thing until you actually catch up with the content. Once you're caught up to live, the amount of time you need to play each version is actually relatively quite low.
EDIT - Also, Serval's song is done by her actual English VA Natalie Van Sistine (also the voice of Yor in SPYxFAMILY, btw). Fun fact, the fact they cast her for Serval and she could sing was a complete coincidence.

interestingly about serval her voice actress said she hadn't sung in a very long time when she was called to record her trailer so its impressive she still sounds great :D if it interests you she also voices yor in the spy family dub
Bailu is a dragon, those are horns, not antenna xD She is in fact the same type of dragon as Dan Heng^^ You're bringing up an interesting point tho... since they are all just from different planets... they are essentially all just aliens to each other xDDDD
The Seele thing is actually funny, too, because these two characters are essentially joined at the hip, not just because of the story but especially because of the gameplay. Back when Seele released basically every team she was in also had a Bronya to support her. They were very clearly designed to work perfectly together xD

35:31 The kettle sounding intrument is called SuoNa, a traditional Chinese intrument that is usually used in occasions such as traditional weddings or funerals, if you plan on playing hsr, it will make a lot of sense with blade's story haha

If you curious about the story, think it like Genshin but instead of nations and elements, it's more like Planets and Religions/Factions.

The Lunar Calendar doesn't even align with the Gregorian calendar, so it would be different each year.

Since you have knowledge about Genshin, explaining it will be easier
in Genshin you gain a vision of a certain element by "following the ideal" of the archon that commands that element, This is in short how you gain power in Genshin
in Star rail there are Aeons which are entities in the universe that are the pinnacle of an idea or concept for example: "Nous the erudition" it encapsulates the idea of knowledge and seeking knowledge
For a person to gain power in Star rail they have to follow the path of an Aeon example: Abundance, Hunt, Destruction, Harmony
and on certain occasions these Aeons gaze upon certain path followers and these followers become emanators who are a level above simple path followers
Aeons can be creatures, objects and even concepts like the example I gave Nous the erudition is literally the severed head of a robot that roams through space this head encapsulated the idea of knowledge so much that even though it is a machine it reached a higher level of existence and became an Aeon/god

Kafka has a spider theme because she's kind of weaving the thread of Fate (Elio's "Script")
Everyone fall in love with kafka, that's how perfect she is.

Saw this on recommended and love the reaction. So Honkai star rail shares the same cosmology /multiverse with Honkai Impact 3rd, GGZ and Genshin impact. However it is unknown where in the cosmology Genshin Impact sits.
(this is just something I sought from memory, please let me know if I'm wrong.)

sorry in advance, I don't know if this contain spoiler but i just want to help a bit. The lore in hsr is kinda hard to explain because the background places are planets so some of characters are may be hard to connect, because only astral express(mc groups) and some other special groups/person that can easily jump from planet to planet. Also i really enjoy watching your trailer reaction because i see you were enjoy watching the stellaron hunters(silverwolf, blade, and kafka) I'm huge fan of them
You right it's the sane multiverse as honkai impact.
Star rail is a turn based game, you explore corridor based linear sort of map with bunch of paths to explore and find quests, the main quests are really cinematic when it comes to big fights.
Yea its sci fi where you get to explore diffrent planets, there is areason why most character are human aside from it just being easier to make but explenation would be a bit complex.
What Geopard is using, is servals modified Guitar case since they are siblings
Seele and Bronya are in a demo together because Hoyoverse generaly ships those two ever since honkai impact

Honkai star rail actually isn't that bad of a time sink I mean you do have to play a lot of runs in endgame Modes obviously the harder it is the longer it takes especially if you need multiple attempts but the daily quests and the "resin" usage in star rail is called Trailblaze power is pretty quick too I have 2 account and it takes me about 30 minutes to do the daily stuff for BOTH so yea it ain't too time consuming as long as you don't play events and endgame modes and star rail has an autoplay feature where the game plays itself and you can eat or whatever in the meantime it's super convenient

one big thing for sure is that hsr is much more f2p friendly than genshin and it can be taken at a more casual pace
Release date was SUPPOSED to be March 7. 2+ rewrites of Belobog storyline kinda botched that.
I stopped watching Star rail trailers since 1.6 I got tired of it, there are Honkai, Genshin, Star rail, ZZZ, Wuthering waves and more other games that will be released in the future to try to keep up 😫
I only watch the Genshin ones out of habit and because the lore interests me more

Genshin is not really really in the Multiverse of that Sort.
But nearly everything else between "fly me to the Moon" and "Zenless Zone Zero"
You should defitnliy watch the other Animations, and short trailers , its worth to see, there arent that much of spoilers in it, and even if, you probably wouldnt connect it
Genshin and HSR are different divisions of Teams.
HSR does have a other playstyle in the sense of Weapons and Elements, you basicly only have Paths and "elements" of sorts, Path are like Single Damage, AOE, Support, Debuff etc, and the Elements are Elements but they dont React like in Genshin
March 7th is really her name, she got a troublesome past and was trapped in Ice and when she got saved it was the 7th of March, and that name stuck
And yes she is the Mascot of the Game, same as Paimon for Genshin, and Kiana Kaslana for Honkai Impact

Servals Voice Actor sang her Song by herself, she did had a hard time at first because she didnt sung in a lot of time.
Bailu is indeed a Dragon, nothing more nothing less, and the Antennas are her Horns.
Yanqing is indeed a Male
Himekos Space Laser is her Ult , yes, Himeko as the Navigator is the Astral Express´s Navigator, she repaired it and took it into space, also she is the Same (also different Personality) as the Himeko in Honkai Impact.
Gepards "Weapon" is His Sisters Guitar Case, Serval is his Sister, but he got another Sister which is also ingame, her name is Lynx, btw All 3 Siblings have Cat Names.
Gepard sung Servals Song at the End, but it was hard for him, but not because he cant sing, he is indeed a great singer but needed to pretend to be bad at it
Seele is a Reference to Honkai Impact, and the other Girl is Named Bronya, also a reference to Honkai Impact, but in Honkai Impact they are a couple.
I think thats why both were in the Trailer. Seele is always accompainied with Butterflys
Jing Yuan is one of the Best Male Designs in all of Mihoyo
Silver Wolf played Honkai Impact in the beginning, also she is a Reference to Honkai Impact as well, but she also goes as a version of "bronya"
Luocha is a bit mysterious, because we still dont know much about him, but he is probably a reference to the Main antagonist from Honkai impact
Blades Trailer does have indeed Spider Lilys in it, blade is practically Immortal.
Kafka dont really have anything to do with spiders other than the back of her Jacket and the Ult Animation where its a symbolic spider outline (like on her back of the Jacket), thats basicly everything of the Spider theme, but the Spider is in another perspectiv, because it goes much about the Fate and the Web of Fate.
Dan Heng, is of the Main Trio (i hope you know what i mean with it) and is a 4 Star Unit, but he got in the Story to his past, and they released him as a 5 Star as well.
Yes he is a "Dragon" in some sort. Btw the Woman you liked, thats the Endboss of that World
Btw, i dont know if you noticed it, but many Voice Actor from Star Rail are in Genshin as well
As an example is Yanqing, he is Dehya, Jing Yuan is Cyno, but you also get Dori, Nilou, Mona, Rosaria and Chengsheng´s Voiceactor in the game
