  • Join me on a tour of this Greenline 48 Coupe Hybrid Yacht. The H-Drive system gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to electric capabilities onboard a yacht. The diesel engines are paired with electric motors which recharge your batteries. With solar panels on the roof, you can also run all your appliances without the need for a generator! Lastly you can run the yacht on fully electric power which allows you to silently dock the vessel and save on fuel costs.

    Correction on the top speed. On this specific listing the top speed is around 12 knots due to custom options onboard.

    Now this one its perfect to own. There's everything you need and then some. If i could I would love to own this one. Once again you have done a great job showing us a great yacht.
    You are so smooth on this one. So I say again thank you Tony. Stay safe.

    Thanks for the tour Tony. This is the 2nd Greenline I've seen & I think the concept is great. I really like the idea of diesel/electric hybrid yachts.

    Another great tour Tony.Thanks for showing this.52' doesn't seem enough for all the space we see inside.edit=52 feet is more than enough for a family,or a couple living aboard with all the storage.The low bridge clearance reminded me of the 'Great-Loop capable' notice on it.Who needs more?

      If she had a bow pulpit rather than a side facing ship’s anchor, her LOA would be closer to 53’. She definitely feels larger than 49’3”

    IIRC the Greenline 40 has the ability to run completely off the solar including constant propulsion. This one needs more solar, but the layout is phenomenal.

  • @darrylalford8879
    @darrylalford8879 Před rokem +3

    Awesome ! With that solar set up you could travel indefinitely couldn't you or would you need more ? Like the split head for the main cabin ! Thanks Tony ! Would really like to see more of the hybrids ! Very educational !

  • @miguelpujols4456

    Great 49' setup for 1M Hybrid, if I had that Yacht, I would use the diesel engines at night then switch it to solar panels in the daytime, but I will invest in some wind turbines in the engine room it does two things keeps the engines cool & boost up the range if you travel in overcast weather...

    What a lot of boat builders don’t know, is that you can legally sail a boat up to 15m in Scandinavia on a speedboat license. What yacht sales possibilities..

    A range of "only" 25 miles on Electric may not seem like much, but I think too often overlooked is the use of the Electric mode at times when the diesels would otherwise just be idling for extended periods, which is not good for them, and saves on their overall hours of operation. Like the difference between highway and city miles on a car/ truck...

    Wow the greenline 45 coupe is so much nicer with the full beam master and the option for the second cabin to be an office!

  • @clifbradley
    @clifbradley Před rokem +2

    These are nice yachts. If aimhad to choose a Greenline, it would be the Ocean Class 68 but for the money you can't really beat it. Maybe a Galeon but I think those are Slightly more expensive

    Tony, I love watching your channel. Does a boat like this have locks on the rear and side doors and the hatches to secure it when it is docked?

    • @YachtAddiction
      @YachtAddiction  Před rokem +1

      Glad to hear it! Yachts will normally have a lock on the doors. You can see a lock on the door handle at 5:45 and the owner will have the keys of course. Sometimes the hatches can have locking mechanisms as well.

    I love this boat, but the manufactures did not take into consideration, that Scandinavians can only sail a 15m boat without a yacht skipper 3 exam, under 15m length overall you only need a speedboat license. This boat is 15.80 m. This limits the custom base.

    Great to see this Greenline! Didn't even know about this brand. Have had other brands, most recently an 66 Azimut Magellano but now looking at something smaller like a Princess v40 or Galleon 375. What are your favorites in the 40 foot range?

    Very practical and well designed yacht. Pity of the teak decks, everyone should be able to wear shoes on board. And teak isn't eco friendly.

  • @BillyBobDingledorf

    No. You can't run the AC with those solar panels.

  • @Lord.Kiltridge
    @Lord.Kiltridge Před rokem +1

    I'm disabled. I will absolutely need a captain. But he and his partner can share a better birth than that little cave. I am very interested in all electric systems with one or more ultra high efficiency range extenders. The batteries might be almost there but good range extenders have a way to go and 25 nm on electric is _not_ going to do it.

    Another great tour as usual but I’ll take a custom built home on 50 acres in the PNW for the same price any day. Sadly there are suckers willing to shell out this kind of money for a steering wheel, engine, and a small fridge for a few weeks a year.

  • @Gnaritas42
    @Gnaritas42 Před rokem +1

    It should be half that price, you've lost the market. Anyone with a brain would be buying an older 70's or 80's yacht and having it restored; you'll get a much higher quality roomier boat for vastly less money with real wood interiors that don't look like cheap molded plastic crap like this does.
