How I cut Russell braided fuel line / hose and install -AN fittings. This is the set up I use on the LS swap for my Chevy K20. #braidedhose #fuelline #lsswap
A few tips: easiest way to cut that type line is with a pvc cutting tool. Also when you are threading the second part of the fitting on, push the hose towards it because the hose tends to back out of the fitting when you are screwing in the nipple end.
I had problems with the frayed ends, used a band saw. Cuts pretty clean, the frayed looked normal as everyone elses ive seen with different cutting means. I tried using tape, but that made things 10x worse. Quick touch of a butane torch on the ends and a quick twist in the direction you're spinning the end on, left hand, made easy work to assemble the ends on the hose. Light motor on the barb goes together smoothly.
I used the original fuel lines, that’s why I asked you about the vent line. However I may use braided lines as yours, waiting on the garage to show up,
Just putting fuel in my system now and getting serious leaks pretty much everywhere and I don't even know where to start got about 20+ fittings on the system (2x pumps surge tank 2x filters and a bal valve) I'm starting to wish I stuck with plain old hose and band clamps now
Dick's 4x4 Garage thanks mate, yeah after a bit of head scratching I've pretty much got it sorted now, I had one hose end with a crack in the inner flare (I must have clamped it too tight in the vice maybe) and I had made a newbie mistake and used some ORB adapter fittings with o-ring seals on a couple of hose ends, not realising I would need the full AN flare to seal the swivelled fitting on a hose end, so I just added a male-female AN flare in between and it fixed it
I was thinking about that. Does it leave a nice straight line or is it slightly tilted. Maybe twisting the blade around a bit would help right. I was about to buy a grinder or an AN cutter. I'll try that later thanks.
I get a lot of questions about my fuel lines, so figured I would make a video about it. How do you do yours?

Nice job Dave! I've never used braided hose, but I do like the clean look!
Thanks Brother! Every time I try to bend hard line it comes out like a mangled mess ha ha! How are things on your side?

Thanks for the instructions man
You got it brother!
Why don’t they make a fitting that goes hose to hose ? It always has to be hose to threaded fitting which kinda sucks
Nice install. That looks like it might be E-85 hose. Is that correct?
Thanks! It say safe for fuel etc, but not specifically e-85 so I can't say for sure.

That’s no good, hope you got it figured out. I’ve never had one of these fittings leak.

Can you undo a AN fitting and redo it? i bought a AN braided line that too long. Im assuming untwist, cut and twist in again?
I don't see why not on new hose.
Where did you buy the fittings and lines at?
Summit racing
So this it’s actually same as using rubber hoses,,, i tough u could not use long ways,,, rubber,,,😩😩😩
Its actually all rubber hose made,,,, just that fake stainless cover on it,, Just for the looks😩😩👋
Use a PVC cutter to cut the hose.

Using a grinder to cut a hose is dangerous!
