  • Chicken Kabobs in the Oven in 30 Minutes.
This is a great recipe to use when you want a quick meal without firing up the grill. All you need:
    2 chicken breasts
    Salt & pepper to taste
    ¼ cup mayo
    Splash of olive oil
    1 tsp Saffron
    Paprika
    A healthy splash of Whiskey
    Garlic powder
Your choice hot sauce (I used tobasco sriracha)
1 tbsp Brown sugar or honey
One big or four small bell peppers cut into squares
    ¼ onion cut into squares
    1 cup pineapple cubed
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Dice up chicken into squares and put it into a bowl. Add all the spices and mix well to coat the chicken (salt, pepper, mayo, olive oil, saffron, whiskey, garlic powder, hot sauce, sugar or honey). Skewer the chicken alternating with bell pepper, onion, and pineapple. Set the skewers on top of a deep baking pan. Add water to the bottom of the pan, covering about ¼ inch of the bottom. Add a splash of whiskey. Place the chicken into the oven in the center rack for about 20-25 minutes, depending on your oven.
Serve with a side of your choice. I used brown rice with mixed vegetables. As always, be your own chef, do not be afraid to experiment with spices and flavor.

I hate it when I watch food videos and people comment on how great it looks, how they will try it and then they never leave feedback on how it was AFTER! So here is mine: I made it and it was really good!!! I changed it up a bit and didn’t use whisky or pineapple but main idea was there. This method of cooking the chicken meant they were really juicy. I think next time I will marinade the chicken from the night before just to get a deeper flavour.
All in all thankyou! I recommend people try this! 🙌

Hi David, I just made this recipe and it was delicious! The chicken was so moist and tender, I marinaded it for several hours with teriyaki sauce and seasonings. The water trick was a great idea, I used chicken stock and liquid smoke for more flavor. Next time I'll soak the skewers in water first so the ends dont burn. Thanks for sharing! 😁

Great way to cook chicken kabobs. Of course we all switch recipes up to our own desire, but the method of cooking skewed chicken over a pan with liquid is ingenious to a tender / juicy kabob.
I prefer a roasted finish, so I add 10 minutes of broiling time after, while continually rotating for an even toasted finish.
5 of 5 STARS for your video!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks....

      @kujo1978lol Před 6 lety +16

We should be a bit suspicious of these claims, given the fact that humans have been cooking meat over open flames for more than millenium, inevitably creating char. If these claims were correct, we’d expect to see elevated rates of cancer among modern hunter-gathers who cook their meat - but we don’t. Just as the demonization of meat and saturated fat as agents of disease has been challenged by reappraisals of epidemiological and biomedical evidence, I think we should take a closer look at the shibboleth that charbroiling meat or otherwise cooking it at high temperatures poses a health risk
