  • DNA is one of the most well-recognized biological structures in the known universe. Now, you can understand the actual twists, turns and rules of base-pairing by making your own 3D origami mode. Start by downloading printable folding paper at www.genome.gov....
Then follow along with Jenny Montooth of the National Human Genome Research Institute as she walks through step-by-step instructions (also available on the website).
Recommended uses include: a hands-on educational activity for the classroom, relaxing hand-exercise while at a conference, beginner origami practice model and more.
DNA origami is based upon a design created by Alex Bateman of EMBL-EBI.

Any recommendations for the type of paper we print it in?

Standard paper will do just fine. The thicker the paper the harder it will be to fold, so we would not recommend heavier stock.

Maybe if you would slow down I would understand how to do this. And speak louder.
