Just saw him in Taos, NM last week and he sounded great. I saw him live about 10 years ago in Washington, DC and he is getting better year by year. It was also special seeing his son playing with him now. I look forward to more music Donavon. Thanks for sharing your talents!

Remember hearing this guy on a cd in a cafe in Newquay about 20 years ago. Asked for the CD for my 11th birthday a couple of months later - think it was the first CD I ever owned!

When I lived in Laguna Beach about 17 yrs ago, I used to hang out with Mike Myers (was my drummer at the time too) and he introduced me to Donovan Frankenreiter...I watched him surf on a blow-up surfboard...the life guard told him he couldn't surf in the are with skaggs...so what did Donovan do? He used my hack saw to cut them off and Mike and I watched him NAIL the surf, on a BLOW-UP surfboard, with NO SKAGGS! Was awesome....by the way this song is great. Can't believe we never got a chance to jam dude...

These guys are absolutely amazing!!! My son and I have gone to see Donavan everytime he comes to Seattle Wa usually in a little bar called the crocodile tavern, this year we literally saw him in late February just before the covid shit started and we got right yo front and as always we had a great time!!! Matt Grundy is such an amazing talent as well!!! These guys are so underrated and I hope they come back to the Pacific Northwest each and every year as they usually do, once all this Corona bullshit is over!!! Thank you for all the fun shows and memories with my son Donovan and Matt!!! You guys are amazing!!!

Super rad yet again... those guitars it seems are the same ones in the movie La Bamba where Lou Phillip Diamonds played at the beginning where he plays as Richie Valens. I kept forgetting the brand ...some where between Silverstone or Kay but I could be wrong, read it on his Instagram could be custom made or restored guitars, they sound awesome though! Love it! Nice mojo guys 🤙
one is a harmony stratotone from the 50s, not sure which year, need to see it without the arm blocking the pickups lol (in fact they might both be harmony makes).
