Bought this bad boy when it came out several years ago. Cannot even fathom folks re-selling this at $700-1000 or more. Unless it's a signed copy, I could never imagine paying that kind of money for any set.

I know I'm late to the party but the only reason why I'm buying this is because of the original artwork on each of the films.
I’ve been hunting around on eBay for YEARS trying to get a hold of just the first movie with the lossless mono track since it will apparently NEVER come out individually, but there’s no UPC to hunt with and I never find it individually. Then I could sell my boxed set for boffo bucks. I have the whole set just for that one thing and the extras that come on the second disc.

Actually the TV Version of the first movie is on the set’s bonus disc. The second disc is actually the original Blu Ray release of the film, while the first disc is the 30th anniversary edition of the film.

I just bought this halloween blu ray set from amazon but didnt realize until afrer that i bought it from their Canadian amazon which comes from a separate warehous. My question is it identical to the US one sold on the US amazon page or will it have different MPAA ratings and different special features or aspect ratio? I ask only because i want the official US one and will cancel if the Canadian one i accidentally ordered is different

Well it was meant to be the start of an anthology series of different movies and different stories set at Halloween time as the Michael Myers bit was finished after the first sequel but because everyone hated it and wanted Michael Myers they abandoned the original idea and just went with Michael Myers again

how much was this priced when it first came out in USD or CAD. im trying to get a good pricing for this new but don't want to be ripoff by over price sells just cause this box set is OOP and knowing that Halloween 4 has audio sync problems. which to me if someone does have the H4 with the sync problems it should decrease the value by 50% knowing that you can't get a free replacement disc of H4 anymore.

The Holy grail of all boxsets , your so lucky. To have this superb collection bud. I have the 10 disc edition, which I still think is pretty good. Since its not available in the UK its quite superb, I bought it for £56 back two years ago and. If you try even getting this on ebay or amazon, is very very rare . If none at all. So we're lucky boys , having these brilliant boxsets on bluray.

Although I already own the Scream Factory individual release blu Rays of Halloween 2 and 3, the Halloween Anchor-bay 35th anniversary Blu and the Miramax 4 and H2O releases, I bought this set for the cover art of the Blu Rays themselves. I think it's awesome they went with the original poster art as opposed to the crappy dvd/ Blu Ray art the studios use instead. Scream Factory/ Shout Factory aside, can't they just leave it alone?

Chace King They added more scenes for the TV cut. The original theatrical cut flows better in my opinion, but if you want the story to be a little more in-depth, watch the TV cut.

We might get a NIGHTMARE boxed set but I don't think they'll get the licenses for the HALLOWEEN sets again anytime soon. I think there's also been an OMEN boxed set by someone else, and THE FLY has already been put together by Scream! Factory. That's why we gotta get these fucking things while we can. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd copy of the F13 boxed set just in case.

Thanks man. Yeah, certain scenes go out of sync in Halloween 4, but all current sets that are newly purchased have the corrected disc, so you won't have to go through the hassle of getting a replacement disc. Enjoy the set!

I own this box set and my Halloween 4 copy has no issues. Maybe because I bought it at a later date.
The best parts of this collection are the producers cut of The Curse of Michael Myers and the HD 5.1 sound on most of them like H20, every where I look the audio for H20 is stereo 2.0 which is shitty in my opinion, but this new 5.1 audio is what I need but don't have 400 bucks to buy this.
Awsome review very thorough and detailed... Only thing I hate is I wish they put more special features on H4. My friend told once long time ago he saw a blooper from H4 from the scene where Michael gets up from the chair and puts the shotgun thru Kelly and the wall. Wanted to know if it really existed or maybe a dilution or something idk. And also what's Region B and y were u bummed about seeing the logo on the disc??? Thanks

Have you ever done a firmware update on your blu-ray player? If not, give that a try and see if helps.
Yes! I did a current firmware update. I have a Sony BDP-S360 (2009 model). Could that be why it's not playing?
Ryan Kerkemeyer Since the firmware update didn't help, sounds like you might have to buy a new player. Those early edition players are problematic when trying to play certain newer discs.

You can tell that it is a limited edition because future shop had behind the counter instead of it being on the shelf. H20 is in 1080p, my other H20 blu ray was in 1080i

I'm glad I didn't get this collection just because 2 more halloween movies are coming out. And this scream factory release is kinda disappointing just because there's no flip art cover for all of these movies. I believe that the best collection yet is friday the 13th collection deluxe from scream factory. Only if the halloween gets another collection like the Friday the 13th then it will be a masterpiece. And hopefully for 2021 scream factory could release a nightmare on elm street collection with their own glorious art work it would be killer!

I saw it at best buy last time i went to the mall its to expensive but i have Halloween 1 2 Zombies and the sequal halloween three is awful no Michael Myers. Watched them all last week for Halloween!
So in other words they basically steal $100 of your money when you can just settle for the 10 disc version for $50. The only differences are that you're just getting the extended cut of halloween,tv version of H2 (like anyone will watch this),the producers cut of H6 with actual features and a bonus disc that has shit that could've easily been on that title's blu ray (and it's not even much to warrant a bonus disc). You're better off paying $50 for the 10 disc and getting the extended versions of H1dvd and 6 blu ray for $7-8 a piece,its better than having $100 stolen from a company that figured out how to cheat ppl. Wow glad i didnt waste my money,this is why i look up shit like this.
