As someone with severe depression who takes medication (and is ok...now) this song gives me a knot in my stomach. It's a good knot - like knowing deep down that I'm not alone. It's one of my favorite songs by Taylor.
I like the fact that you said her voice is beautiful, because her voice literally makes me cry even if its not a sad song.
That’s the best part of these discussions before all the songs on Folkore, it’s like getting a new appreciation for songs that you might’ve already listened to, but didn’t really get the song the way she intended the first listen through. The Long Pond studio sessions are amazing! Great reaction!
