@dxvidcx good one XD, but for real though the hardest levels in Geometry dash are HARD af. People who have been playing it for years struggle to do it in under 20k attempts. And the ship physics are different on 60hz than 240hz for example, and the hardest current level (tartarus I believe) is very ship focused, no one has beat it on 60hz

one of the best things about high refreshrates other than fluidity is the natural organic motionblur that take place in them, if the response time is good enough you can lock your sight on objects and the rest of things moving relative to it will naturally blur just like in real life you see a car (for example) moving and lock your sight on it. this is a big deal but you would need insane hardware to run a moderately demanding game at those speeds

Do you think you could do a test where you control for frame rate? For example, set multiple monitors to their maximum refresh rates (390 Hz, 360 Hz, 240 Hz) and then open a game like Overwatch. Limit the FPS across all of them to say 240 FPS, then 360 FPS, then 390 FPS and see how the input lag is in each of these configurations (while always keeping each monitor at its highest refresh rate and only changing frame rate).

Wow, it’s so amazing how you won’t even see half of those FPS because it’s believed that the human eye can render only 90fps at the very most. Only reason to go for 144 hz is because you probably won’t render 90 hz of a 90hz Monitor. Everything above is just useless since most if not every good monitor with that much hz doesn’t use 1440p and even if, it’s gonna be like 1k for no change at all. Y’all just uselessly going for higher FPS when people literally have to slomo the video footage in order for you to see a difference. If possible I’d rather go for a good 4K 144hz monitor but they are expensive af too and most are bad or have major flaws. Literally nobody is gonna realize the difference between 240 and 390 hz even unconsciously. There’s nothing good about that and as a matter of facts you’re just paying more money for no difference. I mean 240 is overkill but understandable but 390. I’d rather go for a 144 hz Monitor with 1440p and amazing gaming quality. Makes both more fun and resolution is usually overlooked even tho it’s very easy to miss enemy’s. Oh and im pretty sure no gpu gets 390 FPS constantly in the first place unless you go down on the looks further so you are essentially paying for nothing…

Hope, when 480 hz monitors come to the market, this crazy demand for high refresh monitors will finally slow down. Now is the time to make Qled monitors as a standard. Not Oled but, at least, Qled. Move from that not true 1000:1 contrast we are stucked with, since forever. Having an effective DCR and a HDR that is worth using. A better pixel density/pixel pitch ratio and so on.

    I doubt you'd see a difference between 360 and 390 Hz.
Divide a second by 360 or 390 you get 2.78 or 2.56 ms for each frame respectively.
Which means that if an enemy were to appear from behind a corner, with the 390 Hz monitor you'd have a maximum advantage of 0.22 ms or an average advantage of 0.11 ms.
150 ms is a really good reaction time for a human. Adding latency of the monitor and so on only makes that number bigger. Compared to that 0.11 ms are insignificant.

Staying in freesync all the time sucks, you can notice the areas where it slows down and it's so annoying.
