  • Using rope access to buff and clean a facade. St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Australia. The facade looked just as bad after buffing.

Does the dirt collecting on the buffer/applicator interfere with the work?

I was gonna offer this service as an option to my boss until I read the description. Is this something you guys usually do and this building didn't work or was this a trial for a new service

The company I worked for at that time, they offered it as a service, but on this particular building the buffing process wasn't very effective, but they didn't offer any alternatives so it ended up being pretty ineffective, I quit the company before the building was finished so I don't know how the building looked when finished.

cool work, but a little monotonous to clean :-(

I’ve learned every job becomes monotonous once you get passed the learning phase. I currently sit and watch machines run all day. Setting them up is really fun and makes you problem solve but then running 1500 of the same part for 3 months afterwards sucks. I’ve been looking into rope access because at least you’ve got a pretty dang cool office
