Бандура - це унікальний український інструмент. В дитинстві вчилася грати на бандурі і любов до неї лишилася на все життя ❤

This has been my favorites video of the channel so far. Funny Badura in Lebanese means tomato, and the Kobza means bread

Thanks for watching! Yes I was very lucky that day to be able to sit in on the orchestra. Stay tuned, there's more to come :)

Wow, this sounds SO beautiful! Even the name of the instrument is superb, like a poem...bandura. Such sounds and singing definitely should be in one of those soothing music for sleep videos 💐💐💐💐

I think I've watched all of the Stringdom's videos now, this one might be my favourite. The piece at the end is so beautiful.

What amazes me is how much this instrument was suppressed over it's history.

  • @daleturner

Awesome video! And (if you don't mind) an extra detail that didn't get discussed with this instrument... There are actually TWO sets of strings lined up horizontally vertically (when instrument is held upright, while seated, as shown here) which might not be clear until one is close enough to the instrument... When none of the harp levers are engaged, the lowest set of strings is in E-flat major, while the upper set of strings in D Major, making it possible to play anything chromatically (without even using any of the levers). However, engaging the levers adds or removes a flat or sharp to the lowest set of strings. One wild instrument!

Do you happen to know where I can find a string sheet on what string belongs to which note for a Chernihiv bandura, or even other bandura. Resources in America are limited on it.
