2004 Nissan Maxima Tune up & Valve Cover Replacement

This video shows the replacement of valve covers and a tune up on a 2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5L. FYI : If you have oil leaking into the spark plug tubes you will need to replace the entire valve cover assembly as the tube seals are made into the valve cover and are not replaceable.

Did you use rtv silicone on the valve cover gaskets ? Everyone uses it but I thought it was either use gaskets or rtv gasket maker. Not both. I’m putting them on today. Thank you for your help.

Great video. Do you recommend changing the valve cover gasket or purchasing two new valve covers? Just want to make sure the just changing the gasket alone would be sufficient enough.
