its def possible. my drawing and illustration skills are pretty low, but i dont usually take project that would require a great deal of drawing. a lot of motion design is using basic shapes in creative ways. pay attention to animated commercials on tv, they are usually pretty basic but are animated cleverly to keep them interesting.
