tnx buddy, this really helped, i have the beyerdynamic 990pro 250ohm on the ifi zen dac ,and i could not get the sound right after changing the velour pads to wicked freeze pads, now it just sounds right again
Could these pads fit on the VZR Model One? Or do you know any other pads that do?

Hello,...does digital equalizers such as eq apo harm the quality of source signal?, I do use it for bookshelf stereo setup primarly but at the moment I do not have good acustics, so cant evaluate if it harm somhow to soudstage, clarity etc, actually I need it because I found my new dac trable expanded and I need to reduce it all the way from 2000 HZ - 3000Hz about 1.5 db and fter that about 1 db, so would it e preferable to change the dac until I can or eq is 99% ok?

Since you featured the tygr 300r on this video I wanted to ask, in your opinion is there a good upgrade in sound quality moving from the tygr 300r to the audeze Maxwell?

Its a huge downgrade in competetive gaming and still downgrade in single player gaming.Upgrade only in music listening.I sold my Maxwells after two weeks of use.
I had 300r's for a couple of years before the headband broke. I wouldn't say the Maxwell (which I'm wearing right now) are an upgrade over the 300Rs; it's a different sound. Not only are you comparing an open back dynmic to a closed-back planar, it's also wired (with AMP/DAC) vs wireless. I'm glad to be back to maining a closed back, if only just to avoid room noise, but there are pro's and con's to either. Tldr apples and oranges.
@boothman9321 How loud does the volume get on the maxwells? I have hearing loss from being sick as a kid so I have to get loud headphones. I'm using a dac/amp combo with the tigers but I live in a noisy environment and I want to try wireless tech but they're always to quite for me.
I hope you will see the comments. In your opinion is the VZR model one is an upgrade to the tygr 300r?

For imaging yes. For a more neutral sound, no. Model One has significantly stronger bass and reduces mids.
Before I loved velour no complains, but now I live in Spain and in the span of 2 summers \ 18 months my 2nd velour pad pair is dying. You gonna get sweaty anyway cos of the climate, and once the sweat gets into the velour it can irritate your skin REALLY bad cos it hardens and those micro hair needles poke your skin all the time if you have to use it in long sessions like I do. I was looking into the replacement and saw a lot of them are fake leather so it will crumble all the time, and today I found out about Wicked Cushion, so my question is:
How well do they feel when you are already sweaty and might stay that way and how soft and comfortable are they in use on your skin? I don't necessarily care about cooling etc just the feel of the cushion itself.
Cos all I can do is just buy good non velour\fake leather cushions that are soft and durable for home computer usage.
Great video as always however weight, comfort and sound of a stock BD headphone means I wouldn't be going anywhere near a WC pad. So many negatives introduced by the swap for me.
Got a pair of the wc "freeze" for my dt770 pros today. They simply do not "freeze" shit. Yes they may be colder for the first 30 seconds, but after that they get hot. As a matter of fact it seems that the velour originals are cooler because these are more closed and it seems my ears are hotter now.

This is great news. I’ve always hated the pads on the beyers. The shape just never worked for me.

Velour pads are my favorites. I find gel pads are only cool for about 20 minutes.
