- Taken from a spot along Sailor's Encampment Drive on St Joseph Island and looking across to Johnson's Point over on Neebish Island in Michigan, this is the Paul R Tregurtha from the Interlake Steamship Company, making the turn and then coming past me
Captain Benjamin Feinman is aboard currently in Relief of the ship's permanent Captain who is on vacation. In November he returns to his own permanent ship, the Herbert C Jackson. For the month of October however we have enjoyed Captain Feinman's presence on the ship and I certainly did on this day as well. He is a friend and gave us a great salute as they got close to me... When he steps out of the Pilothouse he is actually taking a photo of me on shore which I shared in the comments of my Facebook post (Facebook page link is in the description area of my channel)

Thanks!
I saw a puzzle of the Paul R Tregurtha today. I wasn't shopping for me, but I WILL own it. I was really excited!
Now that's a whistle
Say hello to the Queen of the Great Lakes
nice video thanks!
I always enjoy your videos. 👍😀 I have considered the Soo, Ontario, for retirement in roughly 5 years. Then I could enjoy the ships in person! 😁
I’ve never heard her bow horn before, as I only ever catch her in Duluth-Superior. I didn’t realize they saved the stern horn for visits to Duluth. It definitely makes the tourists jump when they hear it! 😁
A great video. Thanks.
You are busy today! What a great salute❤️. Beautiful day to be "chasing" ships.
That was SO cool!!! Thank you for this!!
Awesome video! Love how these captains enjoy giving salutes to admiring fans. The ships I served on, non military, the captains couldn't care less about saluting. We never understood why, it would be so simple, but they were very self important.
Your. The first female cargo ship youtuber i follow
Were you on Sugar Island when you took this video?
Is it possible for ships moving in opposite directions to pass each other at Johnson's Point?
