To their point in the commentary on 18, I recently played a round at my local course two days after a good spill on my bike. My neck was really sore. I was playing very tenderly, throwing soft and choosing different lines than normal. It was one of my better rounds. I was playing much more for position than for score, and I actually played better. I’m still terrible, but after 22 years of playing, I learned something about disc golf that day.
Calvin has had issues putting recently over a few tournaments. I think missing low a couple times early got in his head a little, being his nemesis miss.

Yeah I can see that. Rick seems more immune to the soft sand and soil footing along that fairway too. He can throw well from the upper body when others like James have to dig in the heel to get max distance
Knew Calvin would lose the hat eventually if the putter failed him. Sure enough the 3-putt from 20 feet on hole 13 was just too much for the hat to bear. It had to go.

I've met all 3 of you in Scottsdale memorial championship, 2020. Jerm was cool ass hell, Uli was cool as hell, Nate was grumpy. But it was probably my fault. Nate was teeing off on hole 1 and I asked him what time Paul Mcbeth and lead card tees off at 😂😭. Probably not the best question to ask to another player. Nothing but love ❤️

I mean Rick has gotta be up there. He was bombing this tourney and he said he was taking it easy. So incredible distance. One of the best putters on tour, look at putting averages for birdies eagles and throw in's, ricky is top 3 on all factors. and is in the top 5 last year for the least amount of bogeys. The dude slays.

Climo was also probably the first player who really trained like a pro and was a founder of real pro disc golf, in my opinion. His impact on disc golf and his role in lifting the standard and quality of disc golf to a different level. To me GOAT is more than who is simply the best. Of course McBeth in his peak was better than Climo in his peak. There we come to a question that how to compare players from different eras. To me that is kind of pointless. Of course full time professional with current equipment plays better than semi-pro with older equipment. To me GOAT mens titles, impact on the sport and sport's development, legacy that player has left and many other things. G stands for greatest and not the best. Paul would be BOAT. He is the best player ever having played in more competitive period and the most dominant player since Climo. And Paul is no longer the best player. If we measure who is GOAT who is the best player, then GOAT status changes every year, if not every week. Then we don't talk about GOAT (of all times), but currently best. That is simply current ranking #1. Worlds should be a longer event like it was in the past, 6-7 rounds. Elite series don't always have all the best players. No one in content and healthy misses the Worlds and some players really focuses on that. It is more desirable than normal elite win. You can win those several times a year. Worlds have and should have more weight. Olympic medals are more prestigious than medals from smaller events.
