Hello From Kentucky. I have one of these ST-100 mowers and kind of suspected that changing the drive belt would be on the difficult side of things.
Recently I had to change the bail or brake cable and discovered that Cub Cadet/MTD had totally changed the design of the cable but yet retained the exact same part number. Otherwise I have been really pleased with the performance of my mower which is instant death to coaxial cable and forgotten air hoses - And within a nanosecond it’s all over with.
These mowers are a must have for anyone within a rural area, Especially along creeks and fence lines. The only thing that the ST-100 doesn’t cut down is small trees and solid objects which is self explanatory.

Helpful video. I can’t believe they made it. Such a pain in the butt to change the belt but now I know it’s not just me. Thanks.

Very informative video. It's much easier to get the belt replaced after watching this video.

I found one of those mowers a while back. Gave it to the scouts. I've been looking for another for years.....now that I want one...can't find them anywhere.
At least when I do, I'll know how to swap the belts.

Yeah it not a hard job just make sure you get the right belt. These are odd sizes they are .5 inches over

Why didn't you release the tension belt spring? that should have made it a lot easier to replace the belt.
