- Big news across the wrestling world on Monday, as WWE announced former World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Wrestlemania weekend! Brian Zane shares his thoughts on Angle's career, whether he thinks Kurt will return to the ring (and against whom), and more!

Kurt Angle in the Hall of Fame makes me feel old. He deserves everything from wrestling.

***** believe it or not but tna was a phenomenal promotion from 04-10 about the same time hogan and bischoff got there. You are right for alot of fans its not the wrestler its the promotion. I personally was watching impact the night kurt angle came out and headbutt samoa joe in 2006 that was one of the greatest moments in tna history. I guess im one of the rare few that still watched angle in tna. Unfortunately in this day and age with wwe its all casuals and children who have zero idea who angle even is. As to tna drawing tiny crowds you can thank dixie carter for that. If tna was to expand it should have happened about the same time angle came in. Instead they opted for the cheap as fuck route with the impact zone. Hopefully anthem takes tna to new heights.
Nigga the only way TNA will ever draw is if Austin comes back from retirement, Warrior comes back from the dead and The Rock leaves Hollywood and they all join TNA for a 3-Way match. And guess what, that ain't happening. Don't blame the fans for not "following" Angle to go to a TNA taping.
Some of us did. I personally did not watch any WWE from 2006 to 2009. Just a pity that Angle didn't come back to WWE in 2010 or so, when TNA got bad.

It already did you idiot, several times and was excellent, but the big one was the four way, which is undoubtedly TNA's greatest moment ever. The best match between the two was from Slammiversary 2008.
Unfortunately Angle and Styles also had to basically redo the Montreal Screwjob.

Kurt Angle is the first male HOF inductee I've actually seen debut in pro wrestling (since I started watching WWF around mid-1999), so the announcement yesterday got me all sorts of nostalgic. Very well deserved!!

I loved every match he wrestled with Lesnar. Those guys put on some great matches, loved the feud going into 19, even loved the match where Angle beat Lesnar in Japan. Yes I know he had other great matches with lots others, but still watch many of his matches with Lesnar. Congrats Kurt Angle, hope to see you continue to wrestle.

As a kid I hated Angle but as an adult now I realized how fucking great he was. Former Multiple time WWE Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist great in ring technician, hilariously entertaining especially with Stone Cold man I can think of no one else that's more deserving to be inducted into the HOF. Now the only thing I wanna know is why do ppl keep changing "You Suck" to him instead of changing it to "You Rock" kinda like they did to the New Day. Like at this point in Angles career he's pretty much legendary and all legends are baby face for life.

Reading that Kurt Angle is heading to the HOF is for me the best news from WWE in a long time. It's true, it's damn true.
My favorite part of the announcement was the entire crowd chanting "You suck." after it played.
With Kurt being my fave wrestler of all time, him being in the HoF is a wet dream for me
I personally feel that (or hope, since this is WWE) this is a serve on the part of creative to allow Kurt to come in as "I'm great and worthy, but I reject this as I've got 1 more run as Champion in me and I want it now". This way Kurt could have a "farewell" tour or something and be a part of some (hopefully) good story lines going for the World or Universal titles.
That's just my opinion but it's about as likely as it to start raining at the bottom of the ocean.

As someone who is going to Royal Rumble, I want to chant "You Suck" with tears in my eyes.
I think that if Kurt Angle and American Alpha do interact, then it would probably be best to do it as a one-off deal. For example, let's say Angle's giving a speech about how glad he is to be back with WWE and hyping up his entrance to the Hall of Fame, when three heels show up to crash the party. American Alpha shows up to even the odds, and the GM makes it a six-man tag match. Angle and Alpha go over with Angle scoring the submission via Ankle Lock, and the crowd goes home happy.
The best part were the fans chanting "YOU SUCK" when his theme played.

I wouldn't mind if like AA ask Angle to show them a few moves or give them a couple of pointers and he does for a few weeks saying what's good and what's bad (They're tendency to show off could be one) and after a month he stops telling them anything saying that they got the stuff they got the looks and all that they need is the experience and a level head. I feel like that would be a nice heartwarming moment and could give AA something to do if the Wyatt's are in an internal feud.

I've never marked out harder for a Hall Of Fame entrant, growing up watching his matches with Edge, Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero really hooked me to wrestling for life and I still think Kurt Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
There's so many dream matches for him to do in WWE, guys like Styles, Nakamura, Rollins, Zayn and Balor would be incredible.

I could see him and AA at the very least allying together. Angle comes back, someone tries to beat his ass, suddenly AA are in the ring and demolish the guy, or the other way around. One of the tag teams, maybe Slater and Rhyno are going at it with them when suddenly here comes Angle.
I always thought it was amazing they were able to take an Olympic gold medalist and turn him into a heel, and have it work. There was always something so funny about that concept.

Well it's just the word of Meltzer...not saying it's in stone yet the Natural Disasters will be in, but personally I would like to see it. Sure they're not as long lasting and memorable as the Dudleys nor held a tag team record like Demolition. But I liked them (though as a kid I hated them, but in the case of wrestling at the time that was a good thing, lol)
JJ Abeyta one is dead, so if Rude is going in, like I'm hearing every week, then I don't see it. But I'm just guessing with the Dudleys and they probably will go in at a later date
There is no reason they can't inducted two dead guys. Especially if one is part of a tag team and the other is getting his (very rightfully and overdue) single career. Plus I do think it would be nice if Fred "Typhoon" Ottoman got that great moment of being in the Hall of Fame, after being a laughing stock of wrestling for so many years as the Shockmaster.
