Very interesting, looks exactly like the FLIR we bought for the fire department, screen looks every bit as clear and better tracking speed. We paid $1200🇨🇦 for it, fyi FLIR makes many sizes
FYI. Stainless steel and aluminum are like mirrors to an IR camera, so you aren't seeing a true temperature. You are seeing a reflected temperature.

I believe it's set to register heat up to 50 meters away, pretty far in my opinion.
