I am trying to find the link for this starter. I have a 1968 chevy c20, but has a 1980 chevy 350 crate engine.i got a new starter but did not the bolt pattern. this seems perfect. I cant get to this link

Never assume a new battery is good - some of the manufacturers don't care if they see a 30% failure on warranty. Load test it, to make sure voltage will stand up under load. Personal experience... I had a new battery quit in just one day - internal strapping failed.

My Chevy Silverado 94 it has a 350 and I replaced the starter cuz it was going bad and it decided to quit on me at the store it was only cranking and once I brought it home and pulled out the old one there was only 2 cables connected to it and placed the new one and connected back those 2 cables and it’s doing the same thing just cranking . Idk if it’s missing another cable to connect cuz I see another cable just hanging there idk if that’s the problem. What do you think?
Is the solenoid engaging? The starter has 2 parts. One part is the motor turning the gear on the starter and the other part is the solenoid shooting the gear out so it can engage with the engine. If you look at the starter when it is just sitting there the gear is recessed into the starter. When the solenoid is working the gear pops out to the end of that shaft in the housing. Sounds like your solenoid isn't working, probably because of the wire you mentioned.

Yes, pour muratic acid in it to lube it and prevent corrosion.

Took starter off my 305 and put it on a 350 but when the 305 starter played out they gave me a bigger starter for the 350 but it’s making noises and no headlights or radio please help.
Sounds like a dead battery or wiring problem.

Wish I could see what was going on in this video. Cant see the bolts that hold the starter in.
It’s only two bolts facing downward at the starter housing.

I did, the jack stand is on the other side of the floor jack
