Congratulations on the growing success of this channel, well deserved 👏. I often visit the places you feature after your videos and it adds to the great choices for eating out. However, I might miss out on the live squid 🐙 I've also learnt not to believe a Thai lady when she says she will share her food 😜

Cheers Cabdriver, we don't take things too seriously...and I know it's not like a proper TV show, but for us it was seeing exactly what it's like here. I remember paying double that for a large whippy come in Scotland nearly 13 years ago....bargain for sure 🙏🙏
It is amazing how much food thai girls can eat and still stay slim. The live squid and 15 scoops of ice cream at the end came after a full meal! Just astounding. Great video, very entertaining as always.

Well done with the subscribers David, and thanks for finding somewhere to put a mic on Nong, i actually even with my lousy hearing heard a lot of what she said. My goodness can she put away some food, and as for that squid, no, no and no way, and still found room for that huge ice cream. Still maintaining a great figure, i on the other hand put on about 2.27 k just watching the vid. What a fabulous venue with good food and a super vista to eat it in 🙏🙏

She spied the squid shooters when we were walking to lunch and said...oh I could do that for you honey 😁😁 Regards the weight, she tries so hard, she has dropped 3kg in the last 6 weeks or so whereas I put on 8kg in the last 6 months, although this is my normal weight, or just under. 🙏🙏
@@DavidAndNong Thanks David,myself and the Mrs are doing ok,not sure how we will survive winter with the extortion that is happening here but it is what it is. Those mics worked really well,the only weird thing from them was the reverse of how you sat ie you was on the left of the screen Nong on the right,your voice came from the right in my headphones and Nong's out of the left. I soon got used to it,but knowing what a stickler you are for getting it right i thought i would give you a heads up 🙏🙏

Cheers Stephen, when the weekend comes it's time for Nong to get a couple of days off...although she worked both Sunday and Monday afternoons this week. It really is as you say, just joining us for lunch...not meant as a full review, maybe just a snapshot. It has made us discover new places though, as we tended to stick to our regular places each Sunday 🙏🙏

Keef I think you are hooked on the crispy pork, it was ok, but the one at Fat Belly stands head and shoulders above the rest. When Nong drank the juice luckily you couldn't see me face, no kisses for a week 🤣🤣

Thanks Peter, Nuys idea of exercise is heading up to the gym and spending an hour taking selfies. She does work very hard though and through the week keeps her carb intake down 🙏🙏

David, we have a little dog ( Chihuahua) her name is Tinker, she is the same as Friday about cats, she hates them.
I used to have a bigger dog, German shepherd but now I've had a wee guy I would never go back 🙏🙏

I have seen many blind persons sitting or walking the streets with their walking canes and lottery boards. How does that process actually work? Is it the honor system? If so, that's pretty awesome! Also, I wish Nong Nuy would not have gotten that coconut ice cream dessert.....I can't get it out of my head. Yum!
Aye Casey, it was all her own suggestion. I saw a couple of others giving them a try before she did it, no chance I would even attempt it. I think the lottery sellers are only partially sighted, so a mix of honor system and what they can see. Normally if they are totally blind they have an assistant. The ice cream I couldn't believe the value...she ate the lot, herself 🤣🤣

@@DavidAndNong i lived in Phuket and Chiang Mai for 4 yrs, but back in Australia now, only went to Pattaya once, my Thai girl is from Khon Kaen area, met her in Phuket, i still miss my Thai food experiences.
Hope life is treating you both well in Australia, Nong is from Korat, but prior to becoming a hairdresser worked at her aunt's restaurant in Phuket, but that will have been about 14 years ago 🙏🙏
@@DavidAndNong unfortunately Oz Immigration Dept is racist, and despite being married in Thailand ( given clearance by Oz Embassy, as i was a widower ), they said she had to fill out the Partner Migration Forms from Thailand, and i had to pay a non refundable $10,000 Aus deposit, and wait over 13 months to get an answer, which could go against us, she decided not to proceed, eventhough she had been out here 3 times on a tourist visa ( which stipulated she could not apply for any other visa while here ), and yet 2 nephews were able to bring in American girls, and both able to apply for work visas, and file for Full time Residency. It absolutely sucks.
David your food reviews are terrific. One question have you found anything like a square sausage, potato scone or black pudding. Good work though.
For sure James, many do black pudding, square sausage a few less and tattie scones can be found, but you will have to search 🙏

It's not really about eating lunch. It's more about relationships, and different places around the town. Lee I was born in Aberdeen, but moved to Oxfordshire age 17 to join the RAF. I did my driving test (Cardiff) and survival courses in Wales (Hereford) I really only moved back to Scotland in 91 then over to Thailand in 2012. She won't teach me Thai but it's funny, she speaks more formal when at her shop and on these videos, like she knows people are listening.🙏🙏
