    I recently got a cheap plate carrier that fits me very well, but only downside is that there is no molle on the rear plate carrier, so what I need to find is a decent multicam/ocp backpack that can strap around the rear plate carrier (without being too loose) and look decent.

    Try velcroing the fupa pouch into the velcro flap that secures the bottom of the plate instead of behind your mags. It will flop around less and wont come off with your cumberbund.

  • @millbean13
    @millbean13 Před rokem

    Interesting. Never seen someone tuck the mags into the Velcro kangaroo pouch on the front of the JPC. Usually you just tuck the Velcro arms front the front placard in there and the it sits on the front/outside of the pouch. But to watch his own. And did you say your plates were 3 inches thick??! I thought I heard that wrong but with you repeated it. I didn’t even know they made ones that thick. Is that just in an effort to be budget? So it’s 6 inches of extra thickness on your torso? My usual preference is to stick below 1 inch thick and less than 5 lbs. shot stop makes some favorites of mine, the duritium gt2 that stops green tip and is only 0.6 inch thick.

    I do have a carrier with rifle plates but that thing is super heavy. I actual prefer to just run pistol plates and take my chances. There is no way I am doing anything for a long time with the rifle plates. If I was just digging in, I would go for the heavies but if I need to be mobile, pistol plate carrier. It weighs a 1/4 of what my rifle carrier weighs.

  • @reiniergarcia

    A couple of LA Police Level III plates for 109 usd each are more than enough. And that backpack is useless. Unless you remove your whole plate carrier, you won’t be able to have access to its content. You can’t reach it. That’s pretty much useless. Just use a hydration pack. And for that Baofeng radio what you need is a rat tail antenna.

    Some China brands are actually quite useable, like Spanker, Idogear, and Krydex. Whether something is made in the USA or China, or is considered airsoft tier stuff, is only a matter that concerns Americans, but not everyone else on the planet. When you think about it, a lot of recent conflicts in 2010's saw massive fielding of what would've been considered Grade C, airsoft tier gears by either belligerents, and both sides had used, abused, and put more holes than the average suburban commando with $5000 worth of mall ninja gears.
