Following the orders of the Ajnala court, Amritpal Singh's aide Lovepreet Toofan was released from Amritsar jail on 24 February. The decision came a day after followers of Amritpal Singh stormed the Ajnala police station, demanding the immediate release of Toofan. Moments after walking out of the jail, Lovepreet Toofan said that he was grateful to "all and that the Sikh community should unite". Growing up in 1990s and early 2000s, I never thought of sikhism as something different from Hindus.. Same with Buddhists and Jainis. I saw sikh men and women going to temples and hindu women rolling rotis for langar in gurudwara.
This is Modern India....I have seen Hindu Gurkhas being called Chinese chowkidar and bahadur ching chong in India ....despite the fact that they give their lives for Indians fighting jihadis, Chinese and pakistanis in the border ....so nobody gives a s#it about you in India, even if you die for them and give your life for them, they will hate you......this is what modern India is like...you are an Indian only if you have North Indian features, you are a hindu and from high caste ....
