Bro Kendrick is a beast but Cole is still a problem for ALL of them!!! He didn't dodge Kendrick... he responded first, he just didn't feel right about it.
😂😂😂 crazy mental gymnastics
@@NLHK69he’s right..
Nope, Cole was peer pressured into responding to a diss (at his big age), rather than responding because he wanted to. Realised he wasn't about that life and apologized for it and removed it. If Cole wanted peace, he should have kept quiet, if Cole wants the be the best, he should be prepared to engage in competition. But most importantly, don't build this mental image of yourself for years on wax as a killer on the mic, have your gangster tested and fold immediately. I'm a Cole fan, but I will never be a Cole Stan and make excuses for the decisions of another grown adult man. Cole made his bed, he has to sleep in it. Cole invited the type of disrespect he is getting now by not standing ten toes down on the decisions he makes
@martianastronaut4917 I respect that and I agree for the most part.. I don't hear him complaining about the back lash from his decision, it's the fans.. but even in that light, that decision does not diminish his talent.. I do not believe he is dodging dot.. I believe that he knew whatever he had to do to beat dot would be damaging to his legacy and that's not what he wanted to do after hearing what the people were already saying after 7 minute drill.. he told dot to take his best shot and he ain't tripping, he not scared of his response. Again the reason why we all wanted to see them 2 go head to head is because we no they both are highly skilled and take their art serious. The narrative that he scared is baffling to me.. I mean the rest of the mixtape speak for itself..
@@tjcole9174 I don't understand how this would have been damaging to his career, Kendrick is the one who threw the first punch (meaning Kendrick was looking for smoke ), and Cole was responding to that, which is a normal thing for a rapper to do, even if Cole didn't respond, people would have not cared as much because Drake was the real target for K Dot, Cole essentially took a stray, but to apologize for responding to a diss against you when you've spent your career telling, no warning people that you are not to be messed with, that ain't a good look at all. Now let's look at Nas and Jay-Z, both of whom have had legendary careers in hip hop, both of whom had a very public beef with each other, but the beef did not damage their careers, infact, it became one of their highlights, why ? Because competition is very much a part of hip hop. Like you said, people were looking forward to the competition between (in my view) two rappers who can compete with each other on equal footing. And Cole has no ill will towards Kendrick and vicversa. Drake and Kendrick on the other hand had actual beef
The only thing more cowardly than ducking Kendrick, would be attacking Kanye at the lowest point of his career lyrically - This wouldn't fly at all lol
Exactly Imao
Idk if you can attack someone who threw your name back into it but it’s not like he doesn’t have a reason to
@@iusedtobepay yeah "attack" is the wrong word i guess. "Respond" is probs better, but the point still stands
It’s a valid point I just think people would see the fact that Kanye threw him into it and give cole a pass. They’d still be on his head about the Kendrick thing but I think most would still entertain his diss.
@@iusedtobepay really he shouldve just tweeted the false prophets thumbnail nd went on w his day imo . everything he really thinks ab ye already on a song
1. Kanye ain't seen as a super duper lyrical dude like that
2. This would be incredibly cowardly of Cole
3. At the end of the day Kanye's music and discography absolutely obliterates Coles
I wouldn't say obliterates. Besides, kanye has been making forgettable shit since after 2016, while Cole seems to just keep getting better
@@Druguzu Oh I would. If J Cole's discography is removed from the timeline nothing in the genre changes. Cole can kill features til the cows come home, let's see if he sticks the landing come album time 🤷
And I'm not some deranged Kanye cult follower but it is what it is, Cole got no masterpiece albums and his influence ain't felt nowhere sonically 😬

Cole should play into the whole "fall off" thing. Go full hop hop monk mode. That is the best route for Cole to take.
Dropping a diss when Kanye is at another low point like Cole did back in 2016 is a real 🐱ssy move.
Also, what Kanye is experiencing is an extreme rebound after becoming extremely religious. When his family was being torn apart, Jesus come save him. Now he is going onto the other extreme. That's what happens when you become spiritually empty. For his own soul's health, he needs to go back on Yandhi time.
Are you drunk? Cole already confronted a peak Kanye (2016) & won. And now Kanye recently attacks J Cole only after a “weak point” (apology)…. How hypocritical of your logic. And a man should never throw stone from a glass house. J Cole has every right to respond swiftly & dominantly.
@@MrDiMES123 lol yes he is very dumb 🤣 never really seen how stupid other men really are since this whole apology thing with Cole. Mad at a man for not feeding into his ego for the sake of entertainment 🤣🤣

FACTS!!!!
Unfortunately I don't see Cole dissing him tho. Dude is too far gone into peaceville.
Which is honestly the best thing for Cole, ducking Kendrick and going for an easy target in Ye will only do more damage to Cole's rep and will invalidate his apology cause he only wants smoke with rappers he knows he can beat. And besides, everything Cole needed to say about Kanye was on False Prophets, Kanye tried to respond to it with the Like That remix, but it objectively failed. So there is really no reason for Cole to get at him, and the negatives would outweigh any "postives" that might come from this if he jumps in.
@@martianastronaut4917I think you said it right!
Justin Laboy was insufferable in that Kanye interview. It was hard to watch.
I have no idea what Cole is thinking, he’s probably unplugged until the heat dies down. Does he even know he’s been dissed? Does he care?
This the first vid I’ve watched from this dude but I subbed no cap, love the way he dissects everything and talks about the topic
Dissing Kanye won’t accomplish much imo. What can Cole say that hasn’t already been said about Ye? He’s gonna be picking on someone who is lyrically inferior to him. It just makes him look scared imo. Nothing Cole can say will damage Kanye at all.
Not really true. Kayne fell off fr. And he doesn’t have a personal relationship with kayne like kdot. So no need to hold back
@@LebronJames-bb4dw if he fell off then what would the diss accomplish? There is nothing Cole can say to Ye that hasn’t already been said.
@@LebronJames-bb4dwthat personal relationship stuff is cap. Clearly, Kendrick had no problem with dissing Cole. So why couldn’t Cole bring himself to reply

I really dont think a scathing kanye diss will do anything to redeem cole tbh
You know Cole not doin that
There’s definitely no redemption for what J Cole did, it would be just too weird if he went hard on Kanye especially after his statements on his spirit and losing sleep over dissing Kendrick, it would be like going for a weak target while a more formidable opponent wants to fight you

Responding to this loon won’t do anything for bro and going out of his way to say he doesn’t even wanna be part of this then jumping back in just because Kanye threw his name out there which will make him look like he’s lying and backed out because it was Kendrick and then people are going to use that against him as a way to prove he’s inferior to him, even though he backed out because at least he thinks of him as a friend I’m not sure it goes both ways but he thinks he’s his friend
Would be great if Cole went at Ye and then he brought out the best of Pablo/Kanye ol flow. Would like to see that.
Kanye is smart
Until he said that
Old man looking for attention
I was thinkin about this recently fr. If J Cole comes back and drops a really good track hittin back at all his doubters and The Fall Off was a really good album then thatd be INSANE
How you Faye -get? He literally just apologized and claimed to be mature. So he’ll test his “pen” against someone who has been open his whole career about getting help but not Kendrick. If he disses ye then why not diss Kendrick. What if Kendrick disses him for talking shite for 4 years asking for it from any rapper, responds to a diss, apologizes, responds to an artists diss, gets dissed by Kendrick then backs out again? Like what is your Faye-get trash mind thinking? Hahahaha you’re pathetic
Joining the movement before you hit a mill subs ❤
Redemption? J Cole first dissed Kanye right after he was hospitalized into a medical center. Pablo era Kanye? Fell off?? Are YOU crazy??? False Prophets was so full of it.
Now he is still in post divorce grief, in a rebound marriage. Still going through it hard.
You think J Cole dissing at another low point is some kind of redemption??
Lil bro, Black Fantano, there is no Cole comeback. All he can do is fall off gracefully. Playboi Carti has already replaced him in the big 3.
🙄 J Fold stans will never not be corny.
EDIT: Learn how song credits word and the difference between a ghost writer and a co-writer. Kanye has wrote for people before and even given them entire songs. 🤦🏿♂️

I don't understand the "ducking the smoke" argument. Yes, Kendrick sent some shots, but the shots were basically love taps compared to the straight up disrespect he got from Ye. Him dissing Ye gloves off would be 100% justified and not even in a saving face kind of way. Kanye is being mad disrespect out of nowhere. Whereas we all know Kendrick didn't and doesn't deserve a full on diss track from J. Cole. I don't understand what's so hard to understand about that
Jcole Glazers never cease to amaze me
7minute drill was pretty dope tho. Body bag, body bag, body bag. Talking about being the cap killer with all the hooper references. It was tight lyrically.
I feel like no matter what people aren’t gonna respect Cole coming back unless it’s at dot
I see your videos around the web & I gotta say, I like what I’m seeing. Very intelligent takes.
Cole just gotta say “ye trynna diss but i cant diss my heros” or sum shit i feel like people would acknowledge he trynna be a better person😭
Apparently im the only person that heard cole say he was done with competitive rap and is more focusing on his relationships
Early noti gang‼️‼️‼️💨
I agree! He could easily argue he has always critiqued Kanye and not been a fan of him as a person versus Kendrick who he has always viewed as a “friend”
First time viewing, great clip, but I was so distracted by the fact you look like Kobe and Wiz Khalifa mixed in one.
If I was Cole this is what I'd do. Team up with Kendrick to release Black Friday II, where they pick a beat from each other's discography and rap their asses off. Smooths things over on that front. Puts Cole back in the big 3 conversation if he holds his own with Kdot. Then release a Kanye diss where he goes all in on someone else's production ( T minus, alchemist, etc.). He'd have so much content on Kanye. Dude is a walking dart board these days. Lead into the release of The Fall Off with a fire lead single and one of those documentaries he always does. Drop The Fall Off and I think he's back in raps good books.
Sound good but I don’t think Kendrick would care to entertain a Black Friday ll. Cole absorbing momentum and resolve from trying to outrap rappers is obvious. I just don’t think Kendrick feels like doing that buddy buddy help stuff with Cole at this point in there careers. Only jcole would gain something from it as cool as it sounds.
He’s still big 3… nothing changed there’s no replacement
In my eyes the door to redemption was always open all peeps gotta do is listen to Coles appology real close, and at no point did he say he wasese'nt the best rapper out here he was appologyzing because he felt wrong in his spirit for saying all that to his friend and on top of that the fans got in his head. I think the perfect redemption song should be titled Don't Get it Twisted.
4:42 but what did you think about Kanye’s verse on his Like That remix? 🤔
I sub doe
I call it the hip-hop civil war
He did respond to kendrick 😂 he just said sorry but he did drop a diss
Literally everyone knows that
Kanye ye killed that verse🥵🔥🔥🔥🤦🏾
Imagine if they was in a boxing match and once the bell rung, Cole threw a couple jabs then took a knee. Thats what this is like.
This is exactly what I thought the moment i heard the Remix. J Cole could be like yea this enough mfs think they can just disrespect me and get away with it ? But tbh i think if Cole disses him it's gonna be like a False Prophets part 2 because Cole disses feel like an advice
smoke management 😂
That would just go back to the point that j cole picks on easy targets and not then ones that can test him.
It wouldn’t become background noise, the narrative would remain because it’s very easy for someone like Cole to body Ye. It’s not impressive. You coping as a Cole fan ngl lol.
Also the sympathetic diss route he already did on False Prophets so going that route again Is.. eh.
But if someone pushes you first I think it would still have affect. Especially cause Ye is way more disrespectful than Kendrick. The narrative would be there but if someone punches you first most people understand punching back.
Nah, don’t do it, Cole. Let’s go back to that spiritual shit. Enough with the drama, put down the sword and pick up the rose.
But for everyone else, i’m hypin for that shit, i hope 50 cent get in here somewhere along the way.
I disagree. He backs off the toughest possible opponent and goes after a out of his prime rapper who even at his peak was better known for his beats than his lyrics? That makes him look more goofy cuz now instead of sticking to his word and being above beefing he gets back in to go after a far weaker opponent making it look more like he was afraid of kendrick
8:55 he did that in 2016 bro
i thought this guy was kendrick lamar 😂😂😂
I hope he does respond back
I thought the same thing. The thing is, if Cole claps back at Ye, he *has* to clap back at Kdot too. If Cole does both disses in the same track, it would look like both Kdot + Ye is free to him.
Bro he did respond to Kendrick though..
Bro bald Jermaine would have been lethal here. He was finally getting new respect with the Kendrick diss, and as a die hard fan, when he apologized I was disgusted. I never want to hear another j Cole song ever again.
listen to that leak ye got with gambino, he can still be very good lyrically, however he just chooses not to and seems to be focusing on production imo (for example, burn probably had the best verse on vultures and it had the most simple beat, meaning more time to write, the leak is a ft so someone else most likely produced it, once again more time to write)
All love from Kenya. No diddy
It’s either he’s a hypocrite or a hero if he does this. He’d have to be really careful which is why I don’t think he does, but I could be wrong.
❤❤
Na bro… the only reason kanye IS the easiest target is because the machine of the industry is against him since hes been calling them out
Quit smoking meth and kush😊😊😊
No, it’s because he’s mentally ill and doesn’t take his medicine
I think the best way for Cole to spin it is honestly. Say I tried to be nice, but the world tried to play me and act like they forgot I'm that dude. Kendrick will always be my friend, but I'm about to make ye my sacrifice. Then after be like I'm not trying to get personal against k dot, but I'd put my bars on my ye diss up against any one. Of course it goes without saying that if it isn't a dope diss, then he shouldn't even make it. Basically many a song with verses more iconic than Kenny on like that.
Ps. I think it's weird when guys report on hip hop but try not to curse. I get it from their profit perspective but it comes across so lame. Like are we talking about rap beef or rating disney+ shows?
Cole needs to call up Push and Sean and go on a warpath. Id ignore yeezy and go straight at Kendrick and Drake.
Yoo bro Cole did respond with 7 minutes drill but nothing after apology however Kendrick haven't responded back to Cole or Drake
I don't see anything wrong with his apology. I think of him apologizing more for it not being a hard diss. Also, he only apologized to Kendrick, it doesn't mean he won't clap back at somebody else. So whoever comes at him, I can see him clapping back to everyone else.
Let’s all be real fr. Stepping back from the beef, after this passes, it’ll just be a moment where we clowned him. If he just goes back to doing his thing like he can, most people will forget about this apology, at least on a serious note. It’ll just be a meme. All artists have things like this happen. If his biggest scandal is apologizing, that man skated thru his career.
I disagree. This was actually the biggest moment of his career. There are people who never payed much attention to him, that know all about the apology. This will be the main thing casual fans remember him for
J. Cole bout to give everyone some lyrical advice to everyone and then everyone will team up to go against thanos (aka) Jay-z
A J.cole diss won't ever hit the same . Ye has nothing to worry about. 😂
What is you talking about ? Lol he most definitely responded to KDOT.. lol he just apologized.. but saying he didn’t respond is crazy lol
If Cole feels bad for dissing Kendrick, he will feel like a horrible person after he he'd diss kanye. It's not gonna happen
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN
The difference would be Kanye said his name, so it’s a little different.

It might be seen as soft to kick Kanye while he's down...but for him to be so down bad and still just as loud and cocky, I'd love to see someone really go at his neck. The fact that he already dissed Cole out of nowhere (to an extent) makes it even more justified.
I honestly don't know what I'd do if Cole ducks this one...there's really no excuse
J cole dissed him first in False phophets
And it took Ye so many years to reply
Cole saw this coming a reply
i agree that Kanye is a problematic person, but i do respect him as an artist

I personally would respect Cole less for ignoring Kendrick and attacking Ye. Bullying the weak and going back on your word multiple times.
A cleaner DJ akademiks
Off the grid was great
cole already dissed ye in false prophets in the most cole way to diss someone. I think the reason why 7 minute drill felt completely off is because cole was trying way to hard to be something hes not. He doesn't destroy people imo jcole is at his best when he is coming from a place of authority/warmth.
Kanye did more for Hip Hop than Kendrick did so J Cole would be doing a second apology to Kanye if he dissed him. J Cole is soft for what he did he ain’t coming back from that goofy 💩
Whaaat?!?!?!
Also, you're wrong about Cole "not responding" to Kendrick if he responds to Kanye. Cole DID respond -- he just apologized after 🤣
wouldnt that be contracdicting though?
Attacking Kanye would be the stupidest thing he could do. That’s low hanging fruit. Ye is mentally sick, and that would be like beating up a crippled kid in the playground. Tbh, I think the apology wasn’t bad and was actually hella mature. Because Kendrick didn’t even diss him really. J Cole’s fault was mostly that he was too overzealous to reply in the first place.
Exactly but all these guys care about is seeing some fucking drama 💀
He already dissed him on false prophets he might as well keep going
Ye is on a villian but Cole is a lame. I am not sure anyone would be all that excited tbh.
