- Sky News' political editor Beth Rigby takes a closer look at the Labour Party's manifesto, from what it contains to how it will be paid for if the party wins the election.
Labour says their manifesto is "fully funded" and "fully costed", and it appears it will be mostly paid for by tackling avoidance, clamping down on non-doms and forcing private schools to charge VAT.

Unless or until political manifestos become legally binding they should be considered meaningless and worthless.
It'll be funny when Starmer gives 16-17year olds the vote and suddenly realises that a good chunk of them really don't like him

Starmers farther was not a tool maker he owned a tool making company but sadly the only tool he ever made himself was kier starmer.

Glad to see someone actually sticking to their word and not adding new taxes. I dont know why everyone is so surprised there was nothing new in yhe manifesto, he said all along his policies were consistent. Whats the real surprise is that he was being honest!

Consistently inconsistent?
Equating the Labour party with wealth creation and economic growth is laughable. Half of their MPs will openly say they are socialists who oppose capitalism, therefore the concept of wealth generation is against everything they believe in. A government, any government cannot run a business, or create businesses. Individuals and groups of individuals do this. Governments tax the profits. So what is Labour's plan for economic growth, when it has traditionally used taxpayer's money for it's socialist fantasies? Let's watch and see how Labour taxes and spends over the next 5 years.

I knew exactly what to pin to my mast at 16 and now near 40 it hasn't changed.
It's better to get the young invested in politics early than have them ignorant into their 20s.
